Hear the call
Is coming from the mountain
To one and all
Young or old, king or ordinary
Is the wake up call

The call is going out
To those who dare to make
That change who are dissatisfied
With the present state of their life
If you’re out there and you really want to know

That the world stand aside
For that person who knows
Where is going to
No one wants to celebrate a failure
But success, success is who you are

Each of our stay here on earth
Give us the privilege an open cheque
To contribute to the existing body of knowledge
Before we bid this world farewell
The future started yesterday today we’re already late

“Where determination is predominant
Failure can not dismantle the flag of success.”
Wake-up the pick up that call
A call to make impact in life

Many live in this world
Never been known or their presence been notice
They are just living they never existed
No aim, goal or destination of where they have in mind
The wake-up call is for all

If you hear this message
Wherever you stand am coming
On every one wherever human is found
We don’t have to wait for destiny
Arise and awake to the wake-up call today.

Rememeber Where You Started...

Remember you started so well

out there you where so humble

then fame and the world has not gotten

into your head when money wasn't there
you behave yourself and carry yourself in humility.

As you lunch out

connection started pumbing in and out

now you are everywhere on every lips

making headlines in the electronic and printing media
now you suddenly forget in a haste where you are coming from.

You feel you did it all by yourself
forgetting it was God
who made you what you are today
remember where you started
how you started how is it today.

Any river that forget is source
is likely to run dry
remember that God gaveth
everything will have no matter who  you are
the height you've attain in your field.

Look back...wait and take a thought
of how it all started have you not

taken all the glory to yourself

and forgotten something so quick

like the sleep of a night.

Without God who are today?
your friends and family
your love ones and leaders
why has fame intoxicated you this way
you've allow it to get into your head and you are gone.

Long, long years ago in a city called Ibadan
The meeting was held to determine
The fate of a nation that meeting change
The course and history of that particular nation
That meeting gave birth to country called Nigeria

Awaken of an independent
Is a new day filled with so much excitement?
Joy unending and happiness knows bound
A day when the colonial master left us
To channel the course of our nation
The dawn of a new era
Awaken of Independent

Years has come and gone
But wait! How was it today?
Where are will today? @ 50 golden jubilee
Has things made a change since then?
Or are will just chasing shadow?
An empty shadow within

The labour of our hero’s past
Shall never been in vain
Is it not been in vain today?
Take a look at the state of the nation today
As we emerge 50 today

Look around you
Celebration in an clamorous feeling
There’s a feeling in the air celebration time
With shows here and there
Celebrating freedom are all free indeed?

Are we not like the a prisoner
In which his prison doors are open
And yet he refuses to come out of his prison room
Ehnn are we not like that leaders and citizens

Independent Day

As our heart cries out
Soul awaiting the dawn
Expectant is the language of everyone
Waiting so anxious the dawn of a new day
The call of freedom

Ring the bell…sound the alarm
Bring out the drums for harvest of celebration
There is a feeling in the year…awaken of independent
Heart are waking new day is dawn
Sounds of independent day fill the land

Let the birds takes the message to one and all
That there awaken of independent
From the one that retrains we to fly like a bird
Taking over the air space now we are free at last
To take and channel the course of our life

Void of corrupt spirit
Never been intoxicated by the lust of office
We are never bound we are free indeed
To never betides on anything that betides us
Awake to a new era

Take it far across every land
From the mountain to the valley
Let this filling fill the air
Awake my soul and sing
Independent day

We are free
To lift our hands
We are free
To make our decision
We are free to make it happen in our domain
The glorious call

Hear the sound
The sound of victory
Is coming far from the distant land
A long waited call freedom is here
Take it home we are now at home

The day has finally come and gone
So much funfair and fête
Celebration has come and gone
The moment and time of merriment gone
So much celebration in the air
Now what’s next After Independent?

Where are we then?
Where are will now?
Has time made a change on us
As a citizen ruled and rule
As a nation; a republic so we are called
After independent

Administration comes and go
Yet the system still remains all the same
Year in year out as days rolled into weeks
Weeks into month, month into years
And yet our country still remains the same
At that same spot in the year gone by

Where are will heading to?
Rulers and ruled I need an answer
So many questions seeking solution unanswered
With a common language “E go better” isn’t it
And yet the state of the nation is in shamble
A pitiable state of the nation

E go better…
Our nation is sick needs physician
E go better…
The fallen standard of education
E go better…
The ill-reforms of all kinds
E go better…
The unbearable standard of living
E go better…
Potholes on our roads causing accident claiming lives
E go better…
Unemployment in the land so rapt. Since when?
When is it going to get better! When?
After independent but independent has come and gone
50 years after independent, when?
