They will never give a reply
Nor feedback on your work or art
They are just locked around
Every time your WhatsApp status comes up
With a post of life’s achievement.

Your biggest fan
When you check well
Is coming from a stranger
Out of the blue who never know
Nothing about you they are there for you.

Life is deep
Strangers are better off now
Then a close associate
Who acts like a monitoring ghost
Waiting and locking around the corner
To see you fail.

TO BE A MAN.

Is a lonely road
Out there just all alone
You fall back on your back
No one reaches out hand
To pull you back to your feet but yourself.

You don’t expect them
To understand of what
It takes to be a man
Is not about what you feel
But what you provide in that home.

I don’t expect you to understand
Because is a lonely road out there
And they don’t care what you know
Life beats us down several times
There is so much weight that weighs us down.

But you don’t expect us to show our emotion
As a man we have to pay our way
As man we have to show up providing always
And will just cannot hide our self
What is it like to be a man.

As no one cares what you know
How you feel and when you’re emotionally down
So depressed frustrated and tired of it all
Trying to pull yourself up then you fall back
To be a man.

But won't show any emotion
As a man that goes unspoken
That we can't cry when life gets hard
Unconditional love for women, children and dogs
We know that we just have to play our parts
And don't nobody give a damn about our broken hearts.

As a man, we gotta pave our way
Our only function is to work and slave
There's no respect for you if you ain't paid
You're disregarded as a human and you can't complain
And if you ever make it up and actually reach that place
And find a woman that you love and give her your last name
You'll feel the things that you provide is only why she stays
And when you try to explain, you'll say

ONE THING WILL KILL A MAN

The world is so filled with so many things
That becloud our existence as human
From the day we grace this world
And it follows us all throughout
Our lifetime here on earth
 
Some are so in haste in life
Of not wanting to cast a second thought
Of how and the manner they are living their life
Some are just mere existing but are not living
One thing of a truth will definitely end  man
 
But do you what that is
No one knows but is never far fetched
Of what will surely end mankind
One surest way is the deeds of mankind
And that is one thing that will kill a man
 
What shall it profit a man?
If such a man gains the whole world
Travel all over the world
Read all he can read and learn
Have this degree with achievement and accolades
 
And such a one dies without
Not having a relationship with God
What a wasted life wasted years
Of what will it be said of you
When it all be said and done
 
Eternity is too far to be toiled with it
Is never a child’s play but an urgent
Need to seek a quick redress
Is better now than to postpone it till tomorrow is worst
One thing will kill a man
 
The world
The flesh
The love of money
And then man’s pride over what he has acquired
