There is a lot of things
Going on in the church today
The church and its membership
We are beginning to lose
Essence of those who are called believers.

As these days
We are lip service membership
Of people who are found in the church
They are just bearing membership tags
Of various denominations around.

In the church
They seems gentle and nicely behaving
Seen in the church they appear all
Washy good but life outside the church
Are nothing to write about.

Many of this members
Are also fall into the bracket
Of church leadership
Their act is questionable characters
And those who have establishment let's not go there.

You we see maltreatment
In the same household of faith
Serving out inhuman treatment
And the faith of this so called employees
Before their employers are questioned.

DEAD FIRST LOVE

Do you know
That since all truths are parallel
That in many believers
Are short-lived
In their glory hour.

Do you know
That many prayer chambers
That where on fire in January
Have become cold rooms
Dead first love

Do you know
Many believers who started
The race with uncompromising love
For the Lord now have
Their love becomes a stinking cemetery.

There were pastors
Businessmen and women
Marriages who were once loving
Powerful and terrorizing the gate of hell
But today their glory is gone.

It was short-lived
The devil is determined to turn
You into an ICHABOD in life
Family and ministry
Arise and tell him (devil) that he has failed.

YOUR LIFE, YOUR MESSAGE.

The content of your life
Determines the outwards
Expression of your brand
You must see that you live
Up to expectation of your message.

To the public
Even when you are in the private eyes
Make sure you live your life
To project in reckoning to the message
You preach as if your life is the book.

Before your audience
Before your listeners
Before the street upon which you walk by
Before the masses but far and near
Your life, your message.

Remember!
You are what you are
In the midst of the darkness of the night
Will your character recognize
Your reputation when they meet in the dark?.

A CHRISTIAN

One who is called out from the world
Purchase by the blood
And redeemed by His Word
Call out from the bondage
And idols to flee

One who abandoned
The dedicates of the world
And cleave to the Word of God
God's inflammable Word is the compass
That leads to the Christain Home.

One who is truly Christlike
At home a dove abiding peacefully
Out there the light and salt of the world
A Christain to the core
In all its dealings and ways.

Whose heartbeat
yarns for the things of God
As the world folies never matters
But in all living the purpose of
Which such a Christian is called.

Called to be light in the dark world
Called to be separated for the Master use
Called to be an instrument of peace
Called out from the dirtiness of this world
A Christian.

His smile is an ointment
That binds the wounds of the wounded one
The oil that mends the broken heart
His deeds are of that of His master biding
A Christian.

One who not only worships Christ
But one who lives like Christ
In every hour...in every day
His anchor holds within the vile
As He stands on the solid rock of Christ.

Called out to serve and in service to God
Chosen from the mixed multitude
Chasing after the call of His Maker God
Carrying his cross with joy and happiness
A Christian.

GOD'S PERFECT GIFT LOVE

A common Bible Passage

That transcends the love of God

Towards His son giving 

His only Son to the world

…begotten a love that was expressed 

Then leading to practicalization

Of such love from God to mankind

Christmas is not a time 

To eat meat and rice

Jesus is the reason for the season

His love for us, so we must extend

The big question now
Before our contemporary church and Christian
Is this one question what remains…
 
Six million lives
It all begins in one single building
Then spread to all the whole world
 
One hundred years ago
A movement like none other
Since shook the very foundation
Of the American church
People reported speaking in tongues
 
New denominations were formed
And the charismatic movement was born
This was the outburst and result
One single event which happens on Azusa Street
It shook the foundation of the church
 
Spawned numerous denominations
Changed the lives of six million people forever
All this happened in the 20th century of the world
Azusa Street is the story of real event
Real people and real God
 
A warm April day of 1906
When a group of African and American people#
Gather together to pray to waits
On God’s Spirit a slave boy went for that meeting

CHRISTIANITY WITHOUT COMPROMISE

Our world is changing fast
And it’s moving on so fast
Like a sleep of the night
So this world is moving each day
The Christian faith is getting weaker
 
By the day as each moment
Flew by a lot is happening
The Christian in question
Is faced with so many challenges
That questions their deep-rooted faith in God
 
Modernity catches up with many
As many are beginning to slip away
From the road that leads to the cross
As the ancient landmark is taken off
Christianity without compromise
 
You need to stand for something
Or else you will fall big time for everything
For everything, I mean any winds
That comes blowing on your way
Compromise we need to stand firm
 
The signs of the time are everywhere
The wind of false doctrine is blowing so high
Many have lost conviction now giving yield
To compromise in the highest order
A lot of coldness in the bone of believers
 
People don’t pray no more
People don’t love no more
People don’t preach the salvation message anymore
People have lost commitment to the heavenly vision
Because they have lost their heart
 
The first conviction they heard
The first love which was once hot fervent
That such love is now cold because
The love of this world has eaten it and choke out
Christianity without compromise
 
Will all need to return back
To the father’s house
To be broken and remold
To redeem us back to God again
We will need revival to awaken 

The lost conviction that the compromise had eaten
 

WAKE UP...RISE UP

I pray we rise up
I pray we wake up
The people that do morning cry
Are no more doing it
Rise up

Those who preached
At the slightest opportunity
Back in those days
Are getting so tired and have left
The business of evangelism

They are now passionless
They forgotten the mission
Of Christ to us as believers here on earth
Preach the Word
Sound the Word

The Word of goodness
That Jesus has paid the price
For the redemption of mankind from sin
That God wants us to come out
And live for this...the saving of the souls

But they have to come
Without their sins
If they come with their sins
They have not come because
He wants us to come without our sin

The greatest profit you can make
Here on earth is the profit of the soul
The passion of soul to be saved
That we run after them
Because passion produce passionate people

I pray
We will rise up
From where we are to reach out to souls
We will wake up
From the slumbering and laziness
Of not reaching out to the souls with the gospel of Christ.

So we can all we meet at the beautiful gate

NOMINAL CHRISTIAN

Today’s church harbours
A number of religious people
Who seems to love God
And are given to the service of God
But deep down their hearts are far from the Lord

They are regular churchgoers
They can quote Bible passage
And they can be quite moral
They have a form of godliness
But denying the power therefore

They profess to be saved but their lives relegate otherwise
They lack the indwelling power of the Spirit of God
That brings about transformation
Through the blood of Jesus
Hence they’re graceless and their religion is false

This set of people are also called nominal Christian
A normal Christian are religious people
Whose faith does not go beyond
Identified with a church, Christian group
Or denomination

THE CALL TO BE PECULIAR

God is on the look-out
For people who’ll go to any length to please Him
He’s watching out for people
Who’ll not just profess faith upon righteousness
No matter where they find themselves

This brings to mind a face off
That occurred in Babylon between
Nebuchadnezzar and the three Hebrew men
Even in the face of a fiery flaming furnace
They refused to betray God

God is looking for people in this generation
Who will set themselves apart
For the sake of the Gospel
People who’ll stand and defend
The Gospel truth in the face of fierce
Opposition, ridicule or contempt

The whole point of redeeming us from sin
And bringing us out from darkness
To his marvelous light is to set
Apart for Himself a peculiar people
Who’re ready to obey His commandments
And be given unto good works

He’s not interested in wishful words of mouth
Empty praise and worship or mechanical services in the church
He’s interested in total surrender
Which is manifested through prompt
Obedience to the express will of God

The main part of the demand of a Christian
Is see in Exodus 19:5 “Now therefore, if ye
Will obey my voice indeed, and keep my
Covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me
Above all people: for all the earth is mine

Your complete surrender to the Lord
Might put you at variance with people around you
You may be tagged weird you may stand alone
You may never be given spotlight that’s okay
Because this call to be peculiar is a call to show forth God’s glory

BE PECULIAR NOT POPULAR

The world will go to any length
To diminish your conviction
Under the guise of helping you get what you want
How you stand for the faith will go a long way
To make a statement about what kind of Christian you are

Our world is filled with people
Who profess Christ but they’ve
Nothing of Christ in them
These people may look the part
They may look and sound religious

They may be active members of different churches
They may be well known and accepted in their Christian circles
But Heaven doesn’t recognize them
God isn’t looking for people who’ll
Betray the Gospel mat the slightest provocation

He is looking out for a generation
Of people who will set themselves apart
For the sake of the Gospel
People who’ll be peculiar
Treasures unto the Lord

THE DEMAND OF OUR FAITH

Only Christianity places you on
A constant endurance test
Tasks you to build your
Emotional and mental dexterity
And drill you to bring out the best version you can ever be

Its not easy but you’ll be better for it
Christian race is not a tea party
Its not one to ease where you can do as you like
Its quite regimented this is however
Isn’t surprising as our Lord Jesus

The author and Finisher of our faith
Has already given us heads-up about
The demand of the Christian faith
At one point, He said anyone
Who claims to belong to Him

Must be ready to take up their cross and follow Him
We all know that the Cross represents
Pain, suffering, discomfort, tears and so on
At another time He insists that anyone who decides
To follow Him must first count the cost

In other words
You must acknowledge and understand
The demand of following him
The struggles we experience as Christian aren’t
Only external struggles there are

Internal conflicts too
The flesh your natural self
Wants to continue
To loud it over you
The demands of our faith

The Christian life isn’t static
Its dynamic and it requires growth
Someone once said anything that doesn’t
Put a demand on us to grow as human beings
Isn’t worth giving ourselves to

BY THE SPIRIT’S POWER

We cannot successfully live out
The Christian live and fulfill the Great Commission
Without enabling power of the Spirit of God
We’ll not experience compelling
Conviction and conversion of sinners

Without the presence and power
Of the Holy Spirit
We can’t survive the onslaught
Of the evil one against Christians
Without the help of the Holy Spirit

It’s by the Holy Spirit’s power
That we can witness powerfully
With signs following it is only by His power
Confront the powers of evil and subdue the gates of hell
By the Spirit’s power

Its by the power of God’s Spirit
That we’re kept consistently pure
And are able to produce the fruits of righteousness
Its by His Spirit that we’re energized to pray powerful
By the Spirit’s Power

Only by His power can we be empowered
To overcome the works of the flesh
We may presume to do much for God
But we’ll never accomplish much without His power
By the Spirit’s power

The working of the Holy Spirit
In a believers life indispensable
To effectively know and do God’s will
We need the Holy Spirit to
Lead, direct and guide us

A HYPOCRITE

And they come unto thee
As the people cometh
And they sit before thee as my people
And they hear thy words
But they will not do them
For with their mouth they shew
Much love but their heart goeth
After their covetousness

And lo thou art unto them
As a very lovely song of one
That hath a pleasant voice
And can play well on an instrument
Foe they hear thy words but they did not do them

The world has hardly produced
Legions of two-faced religious professors
And presumptions men and woman
Than what we have today
A hypoctie

Churches are filled with people
Preoccupied with religious activities
But who by their life-sytle
Mock true and faithful messengers of God
And ridicule the eternal settled Word

There has never been a short supply
Of people who draw nigh to God
With their mouths and honour him
With their lips but their hearts
Are far from Him

But you can stand out
By making your calling and election sure
Hypocrisy affects the hypocrite not God

WAKE UP CHRISTIANS

The world is rushing on
The world has shoke up the Word
Out of our heart making us cold
We have left the ancient landmark
In pursuit of the cares of this life
 
Wake up Christians
We are getting weary and tired
We are leaving the urgency of our calls
For the calls of the passion and things of this world
Wake up Christians
 
The night is coming
When no one can work
While it is call today
When the sun is still shinning
Wake up Christians
 
We cannot afford to be sleeping now
This is the time to watch and pray
Is a call unto watchfulness and is urgent
The world is fading away and taking the His Word out of us

The coming of the Lord is so eminent
The Saviour we soon come any moment from now
The last trumpet we sound
The angels are set about to blow the trumpet

CHRISTIAN: A NAME OR LIFE?

Many people today call themselves
Christians but live their lives carelessly
Without a thought of whose name
They bear and whose ambassador they are
The Christian is admonished passionately

To "Be ye therefore followers of God
As dear children but fornication
And all uncleanliness or covetousness
Let it not be named among you
As it becometh saints

For because of these things
Cometh the wrath of God
Upon the children of disobedience
We are reminded that our calling
Is not an ordinary one

We are called to be saints
Therefore our walk behaviour and lifestyle
Should match the calling of God
Our walk should be saintly
Like Christ's and not like

The people of the world
A true Christians bears
The name and lives the life
A Christian is not just
The one who worship Christ only

But is that one who lives like Christ

WHAT IT TAKES TO FINISH STRONG?

What does it mean to finish strong?
It means that you will come to the end
Of your life with a strong and close
Relationship to Christ
Finishing strong

It means that unless God
Has taken your wife ahead of you
You will be married to the same woman
That you are today
What it takes to finish strong

It means that you are a man
Who is in the Scripture and living the Scripture
It means that you are a man
Who has fought some battles for kingdom
And has the scars to prove it

To finish strong means
That you are leaving your children
And grandchildren the priceless
Heritage of a godly life
To do that take vision

Especially if you’re in your twenties or thirties
Few men have the vision at that age
To look forty years into the future and
Think about how they want to finish
What it takes to finish strong

It takes finish to do it
When you’re in your forties and fifties
For that’s when so many guys get sloppy spiritually
And put it all on cruise control
Oh they’ll finish all right but they won’t finish strong

It takes vision in your sixties and seventies
To realize that those little grandchildren
Are the leaders of a future generation
And it takes vision to spend time with them
Instead of cursing the country six month out of the year

A YOUNG MAN CHALLENGE

A young man who was having a significant
Ministry in a small English village many years ago
People were coming from miles around
To hear him teach the Scriptures
In his midtwenties he had a voracious appetite

For not only teaching the scriptures
But knowing them as well
He was making an impact in the village
And he surrounding area
Until the charges were made

A young woman came forward and claimed
That he had tried to force himself upon her sexually
The world spread like wildfire across the countryside
He was finished the sentiments of the people
Were with the young girl

His reputation was in shambles
And it was all a lie it simply never happened
The young man struggled deeply with the betrayal
Of the young man whom he had legitimately tried to help
But she had turned on him and was in the process
Of ruining his ministry for life

He thought he would never recover
How could he ever minister again
Anywhere with such charges against him
Bitterness just about overwhelmed him
The betrayal was too much

He couldn’t bear it and he couldn’t undo it
But with God’s help he refused to allow that bitterness
To take root in his heart
God enabled him to conquer the bitterness
Just as Joseph had conquered it

The falsely accused young man
Thought that he would never again be used by God
But there are millions of people
Who can vouch for the fact that Oswald Chambers
Was greatly used of God before it was all over

Oswald Chambers struggled
With betrayal and bitterness and finished strong
Joseph struggled with betrayal and bitterness
But he finished strong a young man challenge
Finishing strong

Perhaps you are struggling with betrayal and bitterness
You’re currently in good company, aren’t you?
For you have the same God that they trusted in
And if you will let Him
He will give you the same perspective
That he gave to both of them
You too will finish strong

Take the lance of the Word of God
And drive through it the very heart
Of that bitterness pin that thing to the ground
And get on with the race
The sooner you get on with it
The sooner you will discover
The blessings that God has for you

Trust me…
They are beyond anything you could ever
Ask, dream or imagine
And when you finally run into them
They’ll take your breath away…just ask Joseph

YOU STRIP DOWN

You remember John Colter?
He was stripped of everything
But in spite of that he still finished strong
I’ve got a question for you
Was Colter really stripped of everything

The answer is NO!
Colter was stripped of his clothes but not his courage
Colter was stripped of his weapons but not of his will
Colter was stripped of his provisions but not his purpose
Colter was stripped of his comforts but not his composure

That’s he reminds me of Joseph
Joseph was stripped of his coat but not his character
Joseph was stripped of his family but not his future
Joseph was stripped of his position but not of his purity
Joseph was stripped of his accomplishments but not of his attitude

No wonder Joseph finished strong
John Colter really does remind me of Joseph
But the more I look at Joseph
The more he reminds me of Jesus
Joseph and Jesus had a lot in common

Joseph was rejected by his brothers, so was Jesus
Joseph was loved by his father, so was Jesus
Joseph was victorious over temptation, so was Jesus
Joseph was taken into custody because of a false witness so was Jesus
Joseph suffered for doing what was right, so did Jesus
Joseph was promoted from prison to rule the nation, Jesus was
Promoted from prison of death to rule the nations

Jesus finished strong
Some guys may be thinking
Of course He finished strong He’s God
That’s true He is God and you would expect
God to finish strong but you don’t have to be God to finish strong

You just have to depend on God
That’s actually what Jesus did when he was on earth
And once again Joseph and Jesus have something in common
Whom are you depending on
You can still finish strong no matter the lousy start
