FIXING THE POLICY AND REFORMS.
As we go again towards another democracy day
The tinted question that many are shying away from
Is are we really democrat in all our dealings
From the policy that governs the affairs of our nation
To the laws and regulation rolled out every now and then.
Do the masses really matters at all
What are the people saying?
Do they even have the fair hearing?
How about their constitutional right of freedom of speech
Are they not living in fear of speaking their mind?
Every now and then each administration
Comes into office rolling out this reform and that reform
But the reform never leave the environment of ink and paper
It dies down there and yet nothing is working
Our policy isn’t working at all not in favour of the masses.
As a nation will need good policy
That will go round to favour everyone
Not just a policy in favour of the rule or ruling party
But to the citizens of the state and the nation at large
Only then will can have a nation that is working.
Fixing the policy and reforms
Before the policy must work well to its effects
There must be a followed tailored policy
Towards a working policy and reforms
If our nation will truly live out to its name a working nation.
ARE WILL INDEPENDENT OR DEPENDENT?
Today marks a great in our nation
Our nation is at the stage of yet
Marking another day another years
Of freedom from been rule
By colonial leader and her dedicates.
Being free is been able to stand on your own
Being free is the ability to do something at your own pace
Freedom is what brings greater opportunity
To really stand on your feet and get things going
But on this day as will mark this great let’s ask ourselves.
Are will independent or dependent
Yet our leaders still go around
Borrowing so much to run the country
After the fund generated within
Was embezzled spend without not been accounted for.
Are will really independent
To stand alone in taking care of our needs
And maintaining a great soverienity
Within the boarders of our nation
From each state to state.
Yet will call ourselves independent
But we are still depending on every little things
That we can take care of in our own state
Without not to go out to source for this and that
I leave you with this question dependent or independent.
A NATION IS DYING.
Each day
Each moment
Each Election Day exercises
From one Democracy day and independent day celebration
Our nation is getting worse than ever before.
Things are getting out of hand day by day
A nation is dying and yet will say we are making progress
But to what end is this kind of progress
Are will talking about here.
Is a progress twitted towards
The insurgency in our land of all manner of sort
For the insecurity in our land to the unknown gun men
While we all know this gun men occupying our land
But wait don’t will all say we are a sovereign state.
If truly we are what we call ourselves sovereign state
Then while will strangers of unknown gun men and banditry
Terrorizing our nation and will do less to nothing about it
Yet will go on and start saying we are when we are not as a nation.
And as a people who don’t know what will are saying
Our home is no longer home
Will have become strangers in our homeland
A nation is dying yet will say we are living
Living amidst a dead system of government.

TOWARDS A WORKING COUNTRY.
Our home our nationality
Our country our nation
Our leaders our people
Our native land our mother land
Towards a working country.
For one and all
Everyone ruled or rule
Each one deserve a better country
Upon which everything is working
For the common man on the street.
Bad governance has retard
The progress of this country for so long
Our nation is bedridden of the ill-leaders
That has led this nation to where it is today
And corruption is eaten deeply day in and day out.
Towards a working country
Where the justice system is upholding the law
In its entirety everything is working as it ought to be
Toward a good federal system of government
For you and me in all aspect and sector of this nation.

A TRAP CALLED NIGERIA.
I never belief that there is an individual
Who are bigger then nationality
This can be seen only and only in Nigeria
A country where those in office steals at will
Where the hope of the common man is stolen.
The men and women in black
Act as oppressor that oppress
The weaken whose got no defense fence
Covering around them as they walk around
On the streets of the same country called Nigeria.
The evil of our land
Are out there in the seat of power
Becoming judge in their own
As they have compromise justices
Beyond reduction there is no longer justice in the appeal court.
As they have been captured
In the trap called Nigeria
Justice must come only if we
Start taking our voice global
Is high time we take off our voice from locality.
And go to global platform
To speak up on ill-maltreatment
Of the ill manner act minted out
To the less privilege in our nation
Making this beloved country a trap for her citizens.
As many citizens has turn it to a prayer
That Nigeria will not happen to any of us
Imagine how do we get here?
That we that owns the home
Has now becoming strangers at home.
Oh the cry of the bloodshed on daily basis
Are crying out the oppress are sponsoring the oppressor
We live among the oppressor once they taste power
The colour of their mentality change
A trap called Nigeria.
Who are bigger then nationality
This can be seen only and only in Nigeria
A country where those in office steals at will
Where the hope of the common man is stolen.

SHAPE THE DIALOGUE SET THE AGENDA
Because the land is unrest
Because the people are not happy
Because the rivers never flow in milk and honey again
We need to have a talk that will shape the agenda
Of our nation
To rise up from her remains
So it shall never be in vain
Every hand must be on deck
To shape the dialogue and set the agenda
In shaping the dialogue
We must seek to see
Reason where everyone
Comes to the table to discuss
As brothers and sisters we are
Not anyone coming to the table
With hate in the heart
To talk down about this person or that person
Nor trying to exonerate this person above that person
Shape the dialogue set the agenda
And this time
We aren’t going to just talk
For so long on the conference table
But we are talking about immediate prompt action
As decisions won’t be taken only on the lips of the mouth
But affecting each spoken words
As each sentence is birthed into laws
That will govern the existence of our living in our nation
This is the time to shape that agenda and it starts with dialogue
Shape the dialogue set the agenda
Our nation is on the verge of losing it all
All that our founding fathers have labored for
Our motherland is so starved of emancipation
From the long old ways and methods
Because the people are not happy
Because the rivers never flow in milk and honey again
We need to have a talk that will shape the agenda
Of our nation
To rise up from her remains
So it shall never be in vain
Every hand must be on deck

Shape the dialogue and set the agenda
For a better nation we must arise.

VIOLENCE HAS NO PLACE IN A DEMOCRATIC ELECTION.
For election to be credible
They must be free fair and peaceful
Everyone should be able to cast
Their vote peacefully and free from violence
Remember is an election not electwar
This is a national call
For peaceful expression of our views
Even though we don't agree on one candidate
The goal here is to have a violence-free election
Because in this we can really we are democrat.
We have waited so long for this day to come
So lets not go soiling our hands with violence
Let’s go with aim of having a peaceful show
Remember the election is not war but
For us all to come together to reason together
In choosing that group of people
That we go speak our mind
In the seat of power are the president and governors
Extending to the representative in the house of assembly
Violence has no place in a democratic election remember
If we must move the country forward
It starts in the period of electing
Credible leaders to fit into position
To serve our nation and her citizens
To the best of their best abilities
Will unanimously shun violence
Of any type be it verbal abuse or none verbal abuse
Vote buying and bullying of any kind
Hate speech that can stirrup anger
And remember there is life after the election
HOPE ON THE HORIZON FOR A BATTERED COUNTRY
A lot is beclouding our existence
As citizens, state and nation
We don’t know where to go
Nor who to trust like hope has left us
Forsaken us to our fate
As each man for himself
God for us all watching from a distance
We seek a new better country
Where there is hope for everyone
We are tired
We have lost hope
The horizon is not clear again
Our country is in its state of it remain
As the citizens hope on the horizon of a battered country
A better country that’s not far from here again
Even though hope has been dashed
Withered away like a flower
Scourged by the heat of the sun and we still
Hope on the horizon for a battered country
Who was milked and lotted so much from her
Who’s strength is failing her even
When she is the giant of Africa
Hope on the horizon still hoping
Even when we stand on a hill
And yet our sight cannot sight hope afar
But rebirth is about to happen
The sound of strong emancipation is about to happen
Things are about to change from the old status quo
An army or revolution is breaking out
I am sure the season of rebirth is now for Nigeria.
We dare not miss this moment in history!
As history got a date with our country
Our nation has been through a lot
Within the means of lots left
We must all arise to save the remains of this great nation
Lift up your eyes Nigeria!!!! Your set time is Now!

YOU HAVE YOUR PVC? GO OUT AND VOTE.
We've prayed enough
We've tarried long enough
We've debated about this candidate and that candidate
We've watched them at various
Town hall meeting now
Is the time to brace up
And brave up to go out there
With our PVC's in our hand
To make a statement
Of taking back our nation
This election is not a do-or-die affair
Your friend may not share
The same candidate as yours
That shouldn't mean you guys
Should see yourself as ravels
We have been so long
On the same spot
No moving forward or backward
We're still where we are
Day in and day out like years too
This is the time to stand
As we march out come Saturday
Is an election we call it
Not a fest of violence
Characterize election
Enough of prayers
Now is the time to stand in the gap
Stand in the queue no matter
How long do you stand one day
History will remember your stand
Your stand in fixing our nation
Your stand in saving the remains of this great nation
Your stand to write the wrong in history
Your stand to see a new Nigeria working
Not just for a selected few but for all.
We've tarried long enough

THE ELECTION POSTERS
He walks across
So many posters
Defaming the walls
Of each city in the state
Where he lives and dwells in
But did he see hope
Looking at each candidate's picture
On the posters starring at him
As he walked pass by each one
With a long gaze at its letter on the posters
With a hope that seems so far
With so many that have been beclouded
The existence of the state of the nation
Where he occupies so much
Each day events come up.
The election posters
From the manifestos
To the chant of the public address system
Can one find hope in the election posters
Littered around our cities and highway.
Can the common man
Find peace while at home
For how long do we go on like these
Our home is no longer home
The election posters
So shiny and glaring
So radiating beauty of pictures
So much colour that made it colourful
But is there a shiny light of hope
That we transcend and radiate color of tomorrow.
The election we come and go
The posters we go through
Wear and tear before you know it
The posters have faded out
While no hope we transpire from the election posters.

NIGERIA, WHICH WAY FORWARD?
Is to look within us
And see the answers
To all our many questions
Questions like these
Are will free at home?
Like what do say and parade
With soothing words mixed with pride
Of this world are we one nation?
United in religion, ethnicity and creed
Or mere words that actions cannot be backed up with
What binds us together
As a nation and state
Are we really with that heart
The heart that feels at home
Which way forward Nigeria?
Have we forgotten freedom indeed?
In chase of self-seek ill-gotten wealth
Enrich our pursues all in the name
Of cutting our own share of the national cake
Where is the peace have we lost our unity
One nation bound in freedom
That freedom that transcends peace and unity
In on habitation that we call a nation
Are we really one nation? Bind by sovereignty
What binds us is more of what breaks us asunder
Have we gotten freedom indeed?
Or we are just a prisoner whose door
Is open and refuses to come out of the prison room
For how long shall we continue to go on this road
Where is the unity which way forward Nigeria?
To all our many questions
Questions like these
Are will free at home?

GO GET YOUR PVC
A few days from now
We meet at the pooling bot
With each person prepared and ready
To cast his or her vote with PVC in hand
The thump is ready to imprint
It signs next to the preferred candidate
That the heart thinks and feels is the right one
To channel and drive the course of this nation
For the next four years ahead of us as a nation
Go get your PVC
We are ready to take back our country
Not on the merit of who dish out
The biggest incentives to the electorate
But on the merit of who got so much to offer
Not for the now but for the next four years in office
Who got a good critical thinking
In revenging our land out of the mess
We all are in today just because of the past administration
Which is about to exit the seat of power
Go get your PVC and if you have yours get it dusted
Clean it all well out
And get the location of were
You will be voting and make sure
The transfer was done well enough
Make sure everything is intact
And remember the voting for this year
Is not about party, religion nor tribe
Is about our nation wellbeing and its state
The future of the unborn citizen of this nation
Go get your PVC and get it out dust and be ready

By providing an environment fit enough
For them to live in and learn
Making learning so possible
In a good siren conducive environment
Creating a better world for all kids
All over the world making living interesting
And full to live in children

OUR NATION IS NO LONGER HOME
We lost it long ago
Waking up each day
To the sad news flying around
No sounds of good news on the airways
We're no longer at home in our home
Every day at all times
Our heart is gripped with fear
Fear of the known and unknown
Hit at us as a hit-and-run car
Everyone is on the fast lane.
Untold hardship in the land
The government has lost it
As all tactics have failed them
Now the heart of the same
Government failed them
As they have run out of ideas
Sending SOS calls out
And life continues to flow some high
Now in a suffering and smiling mode
As many clings to being religious
Praying for Almighty intervention
As they have run out of ideas
Sending SOS calls out
And life continues to flow some high
Now in a suffering and smiling mode
As many clings to being religious
Praying for Almighty intervention

AFTER THE INDEPENDENT DAY CELEBRATION, WHAT'S NEXT?
Now that to dust is settled
And everything is seems cool
Good days be remember
Of how it all started
So cherished memory of independence day
After the independence day
What's next? From where should go
Will have a lot from the various
Event organized to mark the
Celebration of the independence day
What's next? From where should go
Will have a lot from the various
Event organized to mark the
Celebration of the independence day
The speech from the number one citizen
Of our great nation and talks by great brain
All exhume the power of facts and oratory
But will it just remain there in the venue
Where such a great program are held
Of our great nation and talks by great brain
All exhume the power of facts and oratory
But will it just remain there in the venue
Where such a great program are held
After the independent day celebration
What next? Here there is nothing to expect
Then to implement all that was said and heard
Because nation-building is beyond talking n listening
Is in the action of implementation
What next? Here there is nothing to expect
Then to implement all that was said and heard
Because nation-building is beyond talking n listening
Is in the action of implementation
What next?
Is to move from saying to doing
Action is what will need to save our nation
To bring it back to the course of development
After the independent day celebration.
Is to move from saying to doing
Action is what will need to save our nation
To bring it back to the course of development
After the independent day celebration.

FROM THE REPUBLIC OF CONSCIENCE
To our leaders whose
Verge from here to there
City to cities chant their manifesto
Promises yet to be brought to the limelight
In verging for a position to rule their people
Public leaders must swear
To uphold unwritten law and weep
To atone for their presumption to hold office
In utmost sincerity and honesty
From the republic of conscience
Whose still much alive and kicking
Whose heart is still much soft
Soft to the plight of the people
In which the same leaders are leading
From the republic of conscience
In whose republic
Our dear nation was birthed and born
Who’s upon the fabrics of our mother
Who’s our fatherland is built on
From the republic of conscience
What kind of leader are you
As you go around verging for political office
Are you really who you are portraying yourself to be
Will you still maintain this humility and selflessness
Upon the resumption of office if you win the election
Will your conscience still be much alive
Or half alive when the election result is announced
Where you place those who voted for you
In sun, rain and cold chilled weather
From the republic conscience

GO TELL OUR MOTHERS
That home is no longer home
That our land that once flow
In milk and honey now flows in blood
As we fight and kill each other
In the name of religion
Go tell our mothers
That we are no longer at ease
With one another as trust has left
The table of brotherhood
That we once seat to discuss and dine
Go tell our mothers
That our nation in which
Our father sweated and toiled for
Now boils in hot water
Everyone is seating on a time bomb
Go tell our mothers
That our children can no longer
Walk freely in their own fathers land
As fear of being kidnap and kill at will
Is never a new thing nor a crime
Go tell our mother
To call on their husband
That we are longer home in our home
As a lot of foreign and home stranger
Has made home unfit for peaceful habitation
Go tell our mothers
That motherland milk
That was so sweeten and nourish
Is now like a sour taste in our mouth
As her children dies of starvation
Go tell our mothers
To awaken the spirit of our father
To come embark on a mission
Of rescue our fatherland
Weep not child for tomorrow is here.

NEVER FORGET HOME
A home is where the heart
Is safe and secure while been at home
Never forget he said but the question
That seeks earnest answer is this
Did his government made such a home
Home enough for those at home already
Talkless about for the ones
Who are far away from home
Never forget home
To seek medical attention
Outside the confines of the same home
You made announcement to diasporas
Not to ever forget home
To sleep at night with eyes close
How far traveling by road talkless about sea
Each day tragedy struck in that city and this city
Never forget home
The shadow of itself
As banditry has taken the centre stage
With epileptic power supply
And you said home
Where the hope of having a peaceful home
Has eluded those who has lived all their life
Back here at home has nothing profitably gotten from home
Never forget home you say
While so many months of prolong war
In an unholy fist of war with ASUU
Refuse to reach conquest talkless of resolution
Never forget home
When all things are working out well
Back at home and peace of the mind, body and soul
When our land is secure free from blood shared
That is only when home can never be forgotten

DRUM OF POLITRICKS
It’s beat is so high
Becoming intense
So loud that you can hear it from afar
Wherever you stand
Drum of politricks
That you will be lured away
In the sweet smoothen words
Of these politticks of these men and women
They will come calling
They run like a cheetah after you
Zooming on you at all time
In all corners you will get to see them
Their billboard so erect tall high
To see their posters defacing our walls
Hear their campaign jingle audio and visual format
Feel their presence as they blast their serene all over
Drum of politiricks that’s it
So intense its interlude isn’t here
Flooding the whole city
The highways and the street
Drum of politiricks
That if care is not taking
Your ear drum will be damage
Beyond repair that you cannot hear
When the warning sounds comes calling
With different format for same goal
To canvas your vote to get them all in
But using your head when these drum of politricks
Comes drumming at your ear and watch your dance step
The drum of politricks so deceptive
Don’t get deceive by it
And what's that the
Drum of politricks

THE STATE OF INSECURITY
Our state is in a state of insecurity
And the state is so alarming to come to terms with
As human intellect has failed us
And we now resolve to self-help
As the state of insecurity
Has made us lost fate in the government of the day
The government has lost it and at a crossroads
As each governor’s of each state
Are losing their constituents
To all manners of menace of insurgency
The state of insecurity
Let’s not fool ourselves
Our land is no longer at ease
As insecurity looms it ugly faces here and there
The whole issues is now looking tiring
As we engage in age-long war
Against this monster called insecurity
We have painted it sugar-coated with
With all kinds of names left to be unresolved
The state of insecurity
We must arise everyone
Irrespective of who you are
See this is not the time to call on the ones in government
As they all have lost it and don’t know what to do anymore
As nation building is a collective responsibility
Lest not resolve to taking laws into our own hands
As jungle justice isn’t among the ingredient to nations building
If we must move our nation from its present security challenges
We must come together and see security is everyone’s business
The state of insecurity is everyone and serious business
