From the news of your conception
You brought so much joy
Though the wait for your arrival
Is so long like in nine months time
But the sound of becoming a mother

A number of religious people
Who seems to love God
And are given to the service of God
But deep down their hearts are far from the Lord

They are regular churchgoers
They can quote Bible passage
And they can be quite moral
They have a form of godliness
But denying the power therefore

They profess to be saved but their lives relegate otherwise
They lack the indwelling power of the Spirit of God
That brings about transformation
Through the blood of Jesus
Hence they’re graceless and their religion is false

This set of people are also called nominal Christian
A normal Christian are religious people
Whose faith does not go beyond
Identified with a church, Christian group
Or denomination

THE CALL TO BE PECULIAR

God is on the look-out
For people who’ll go to any length to please Him
He’s watching out for people
Who’ll not just profess faith upon righteousness
No matter where they find themselves

This brings to mind a face off
That occurred in Babylon between
Nebuchadnezzar and the three Hebrew men
Even in the face of a fiery flaming furnace
They refused to betray God

God is looking for people in this generation
Who will set themselves apart

Obedience to the express will of God

Is see in Exodus 19:5 “Now therefore, if ye
Will obey my voice indeed, and keep my
Covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me
Above all people: for all the earth is mine

Your complete surrender to the Lord
Might put you at variance with people around you
You may be tagged weird you may stand alone
You may never be given spotlight that’s okay
Because this call to be peculiar is a call to show forth God’s glory

BE PECULIAR NOT POPULAR

The world will go to any length
To diminish your conviction
Under the guise of helping you get what you want
How you stand for the faith will go a long way
To make a statement about what kind of Christian you are

Our world is filled with people
Who profess Christ but they’ve
Nothing of Christ in them
These people may look the part
They may look and sound religious

They may be active members of different churches
They may be well known and accepted in their Christian circles
But Heaven doesn’t recognize them
God isn’t looking for people who’ll
Betray the Gospel mat the slightest provocation

He is looking out for a generation
Of people who will set themselves apart
For the sake of the Gospel
People who’ll be peculiar
Treasures unto the Lord

THE DEMAND OF OUR FAITH

Only Christianity places you on
A constant endurance test
Tasks you to build your
Emotional and mental dexterity
And drill you to bring out the best version you can ever be

Its not easy but you’ll be better for it
Christian race is not a tea party
Its not one to ease where you can do as you like
Its quite regimented this is however
Isn’t surprising as our Lord Jesus

The author and Finisher of our faith

BY THE SPIRIT’S POWER

We cannot successfully live out
The Christian live and fulfill the Great Commission
Without enabling power of the Spirit of God
We’ll not experience compelling
Conviction and conversion of sinners

Without the presence and power
Of the Holy Spirit
We can’t survive the onslaught
Of the evil one against Christians
Without the help of the Holy Spirit

It’s by the Holy Spirit’s power
That we can witness powerfully
With signs following it is only by His power
Confront the powers of evil and subdue the gates of hell
By the Spirit’s power

Its by the power of God’s Spirit
That we’re kept consistently pure
And are able to produce the fruits of righteousness
Its by His Spirit that we’re energized to pray powerful
By the Spirit’s Power

Only by His power can we be empowered
To overcome the works of the flesh
We may presume to do much for God
But we’ll never accomplish much without His power
By the Spirit’s power

The working of the Holy Spirit
In a believers life indispensable
To effectively know and do God’s will
We need the Holy Spirit to
Lead, direct and guide us

When they think you are not good enough
And as if your best is not best enough
You wonder far into a deep search
Of getting validated from those
Who mocks and knocks us down

To that time you chase people
In trying and working to be like
The multitude that swept you under the carpet
And we begin to loose self esteem

So endless work too long to be toyed with

Won't be funny at all

When you open your eyes in hell
