Am not surprise when Chimamanda
Says that Nigeria as a country
Lacks heroes to inspire young people
Our nation is bedridden of people
Of integrity and of a good report
Before now we have heard
Leaders of so many questionable characters
As we watch them day after day
Administration after administration
How they are been probe on this and that
How can we the young look up to such individual
Whose lifestyle is questionable
Who lack the trait and quality of heroism in them
And we just move on and on like that
As the nation experiences a drought
We are starved of heroes
We are beginning to lose it
Our young people do not find
People to look up to anymore
Endangering good leadership in the country
As long as we continue
To go around the same circle
There is nowhere justice and peace
Will strive talkless of breathing
And accountability we die a natural death
Sending off transparency off
From the street of hope for
A better tomorrow for our nation
And its citizens but where is this
Betterment of tomorrow if our
A young person never sees any heroes
Within the sphere of the sovereignty
Of this great nation of ours
Where only is what is seen all around
There is a need for resurrection
We cannot avoid self-criticism
But criticize the government
We cannot hide our won institutional failure
While demanding transparency
From the government
