DEAD FIRST LOVE

Do you know
That since all truths are parallel
That in many believers
Are short-lived
In their glory hour.

Do you know
That many prayer chambers
That where on fire in January
Have become cold rooms
Dead first love

Do you know
Many believers who started
The race with uncompromising love
For the Lord now have
Their love becomes a stinking cemetery.

There were pastors
Businessmen and women
Marriages who were once loving
Powerful and terrorizing the gate of hell
But today their glory is gone.

It was short-lived
The devil is determined to turn
You into an ICHABOD in life
Family and ministry
Arise and tell him (devil) that he has failed.

SILENT, STRONG DAD: FATHER'S DAY

He never looks for praise
Neither did all what he do
For something in return
Went out of his way to be the real dad
Silent in his thought to make a strong dad

He’s never a boastful type
Of what he has or acquired over the years
As the result is replica in the lives of his children
Respectful and humility is seen in him
Silent, strong dad

Who channel all his energy
In profitable venture
In building that kind home
He wants to live in and also his family
Strong in times of hardship

Whose face never wears
A long look irrespective of the world’s problems
Weathering storm standing all through in it all
Going out in having a faceoff with the storm
In bringing his home and family to safe place

His dreams are seldom spoken
His wants are very few
And most of the time his worries
Will go unspoken, too
Silent, strong dad

He's there...a firm foundation
Through all our storms of life
A sturdy hand to hold onto
In times of stress and strife
Silent strong dad

Father's Day

As the world stands aside today
to celebrate Father's Day
children all over the world
today remember their father
sending a token of their heartfelt gratitude.

To their father wherever they are
wishing them the best life has to offer
for being the number one dad in the world
for always being the father they've ever dreamed of
Dad I love you much more than tongue can tell.

To all the fathers celebrating today
I have a message for you all as you celebrate
be the best dad you can be to your wards
make them feel a sense of  belonging
give them so much love instill in them the fear of God.

Give them education
the best legacy you can give is that
always stay with your children
create out time no matter
how tight your schedule may be.

Be the best dad
that your child will be proud of you
today and tomorrow while you are gone
never live like a memory in their heart
but be living in their heart.

Happy Father's Day: this is for you Dad
for being security as a boy to me
for being an adult in which I confide in

for being the one who believes in me
for being the one who inspires me to bring out the best in me.

Happy Father's Day: Dad
never leave me alone for any good reason
stay with me in my happy and tiring moment
never give up on me go the extra mile
teach me that hard work never kills
and there's no shortcut to success ( Greatness).

DIFFERENT PEOPLE, ONE NATION.

Surround by a great landmass
From the South to the North
Then races at a crescendo to East and West
Different colors on our skin
But never a different nation

Even though we are different people
In all walks of life
Spread out in different states of our nation
One indivisible nation crafted by under one name
A nation that’s what we are.

As different people we are
There is one force that binds us together
Our nation under which we strive and make progress
As unity is best sustained when we come together
Different people one nation

Different tribes and tongue
Yet we are one nation
Different ethnic believes
Yet we speak one language
A loud voice resounding in the deep.

Reminding us of who we are
And where our roots are coming from
To never forget home as we travel the length
And breathe of this great nation of ours even though
We are so different people but one nation binds us together.

DEMOCRACY FOR ALL.

Will take today To mark yet another Democracy day
Will solemnly stand in this hallowed spot
Upon the soil of our land
Which this nation strives to exist hallowed.

From the fiber of its existence
To the root the drive of the lifespan
Of this great nation of ours
To witness yet another democracy day
With one petition.

Democracy for all
From the man out there on the street
Whose cost of living has made him
To take on the bus terminal station
As is abode just because
He can not afford the cost of rent an accommodation.

For the one whose matter
Can not be brought to the court
Just because she can not afford
The legal fees of a lawyer
To stand in the gap to plead her course.

Democracy for all
Where our nation is really working
With good healthcare facilities
And a very lucrative economy
That strives best for all not just for the rich.

Where there is peace in the land
And our home is home
Because our heart is at peace at home
That is the Democracy for all
A nation for all where everyone is equal.

Equal access to healthcare
Equal access to the judicial system
Equal access to good roads and light
Equal access to the nation's treasury
Equal access to security and jobs.

Until this is all sorted out
Then we can have a democracy for all
No matter the status and position
No one is meant to be treated like a commoner
Because Nigeria is for all and we have it.

BEFORE YOU MEET YOURSELF.

Make sure you are well equipped
To stand up to face off with life
As life isn't a bed of roses
Nor just a vain venture
Make sure you are strong enough.

Before you meet yourself
Be realistic enough
To own your mistake to heart
To laugh at your failure
If even falling so flat on the corridor of success.

Be really built to face
Men's criticism
Because they will come knocking
At your door but be strong enough
To get the handle of the door.

With a fix so grip at it
Strong enough that nothing
Can make you withered
When stormy clouds gather
Before you meet yourself.

Fix yourself so well
Gluing your feet to the ground
To stand when the floods
Of bitter moment comes
When life serves you breakfast.

Before you meet yourself
Take a look into the mirror
And define your mission statement
Make it so clear to be seen
Even in the dark hours of your existence.

OUR COUNTRY, OUR NATION

We are bound by one creed
Surrounded by one objective
Breeds on the same landscape
Our land serves us with the life we have
This is our country, our nation.

Let us live in unity
Because unity is our strength
The fiber upon which progress strive
A united nation will achieve so much
In the space of a few years.

Let us not live in fear
We are all one brother and sisters
Let us rejoice in peace with one another
We are free and bond to our country
To protect our sovereignty we must stand together as one.

So long we have held ourselves captive in our land
But this is a clarion call to one and all
This is the time to let the white dove of peace
Fly across the length and breadth of our dear nation
Our country, our nation.

Let’s live together with no discrimination
Let’s live in peace not in pieces every hour
Our leaders to secure our future development
Not to lead with an interior motive
Let’s shun hate speeches that will breed war.

DON’T USE YOUR YOUTHFUL LIFE TO SLEEP

You are created for something bigger than this
You are looking at now life is so big
Up high there in the sky is so big
To take as many people as possible
Who dares to engrave their name and footprint
On the sands of time and history records.

But is not by doing nothing expecting
The world to give you a resounding standing-up ovation
But you must earn the mark for such an event to happen
If at all you want to attain that mark it starts with you
Right there within boiling down to one fact
How you spend the moment you have now.

For you to live in that moment
When the world comes to celebrate your success stories
Remember mediocre is not meant to be celebrated
Nor talk less about standing in front of mean men that matters
Not even coming close to seat on the table of greatness
Don’t use your youthful life to sleep.

Too much sleep breeds a whole lot of heart
Wrenching event that will hunt you
Like a hunting shadow for life
So, this is time to get up from that bed of idleness
And stop eating the bread of laziness because
Don’t use your youthful life to sleep.

While others are walking going the extra mile
Working their feet and hands to the bone
Burning the night candle from one end to the other end
Be realistic enough to chase the dream no matter what
Be the person you want to see yourself in the picture
Of history records of the world but is not done by just sleeping.

IF OUR NATION FAILS TODAY

Is not just the man in power that fails
But we all have failed as we never lend our voices out
When evil is being perpetrated we become mute
And afraid of being molested by the high and mighty ones
In the seat and corridor of power
If our nation fails today.

The future unborn will curse
The day they melt with us upon hearing our name
That we were alive at such a time when evil was carried out
On our nation and we fail to wright the wrong
To avert is happening again in the future
If our nation fails today.

The one in power caused it all
I see smiles on your face
Hearing that statement that
The one in power caused it all
But what are you doing with respect to this
For crying out loud we practice a system of government

That gives room for such calling out
Of political office holders to questioning
When things aren’t done in the right
Above all after all this nation belongs to us all
Not just one set of a faction of people
If this nation fails our nation is ruin down the drain.

Forget the man in the power
Forget the so-called cabinet
Forget the folks seated right there in our house of assembly
Forget the Senate houses and officials is time to build our nation
Nation-building is no more in the hand of selected ill-wealth-seeking folks
Because if our nation fails we all are in it together.

Will must serve as a watchdog
To the one who are in the head of affairs of this nation
Will must see that we scrutinize all their actions and dealings
Because we must see that this motherland of ours must not fail
Or else our founding fathers will turn in pain in their respective grave
If our nation fails today is the fault of all of us all yes you and me.

HOW FAR HAVE WILL GONE AFTER INDEPENDENCE?

Who would have thought so long ago
After the independence many years had come and gone
And still we are still living life and let's live abi
Are will really living or merely existing
Chasing an empty shadow within
That cannot stand up erect by itself.

We still depend on lining an object to stand
To gain our stamina and we carried on with life
Just as nothing has happened these past years
After independent will are stilling in yesteryears of life
With nothing to recon to how far we have gone
Between that time and this time.

Have we gone from dependency?
To a nation whose dependency is on her own
Or are we still chasing what we shouldn’t chase
How far consumables are we producing
What we consume back at home or still importing
Our far our gross domestic product is going up or sliding into inflation.

As the citizens is accustomed to suffering
Our leaders are our problems
As they have so been intoxicated and drunk with power
So after their own self looting of the nation’s treasury
Inflicting untold suffering on the masses
The same masses that voted them into power.

How far have will gone after independence?
Are will still seeing the nation doing well
Or still running from this meeting to that meeting
Borrowing money enslave the whole citizens
Into generational debt servicing all in the name of developing our country.

HEAL THE WORLD.

How are you? Yes you
Fulfilling that word up there above
Heal the world
Becoming an agent of healing
To many who are so wondered by life.

The world will are live in today
It is filled with so many things happening
From the way human has lost sympathy
Of that human feelings toward people around
Will must do all we can to heal the world.

Many have lost hope in life
That the world never seems
To be home again as they have become
Strangers in their own home
Will all are losing the essence of our existence.

Now we are nearly barely living
As life has served us with a card
Will never bargain for or think about
That ointment of balm of glean
That heals the wounded heart that has slipped off our hand.

Now in our palm we carry the dagger
That stabbed so many behind their back
Now our tongues are full of deceitful words
Slandering every possible person you find around
Treating your fellow human-less to an animal.

Will need to heal the world
There is nothing like seating on the fence
There is nothing like folding hands here
Will must arise is a call a national call
To HEAL THE WORLD spread love and heal the world.
