Growth & Success

Success is commonly thought
Of as the culmination of an activity
With a happy ending
Always seem to go together
When in reality success is but a milestone

Far to many people
Retire mentally after achieving
A degree of success
And their claim to fame is forgotten
Because they have noting else to offer.

 It seems to me
 That when you cease
 To be able to face change
That is when you really become old
Time and change have passed by their success.

You can choose
To merely exist
Lean on others for survival
Or you can struggle and grow.
