DEFINITION OF ME

I am me
I don’t need your approval to be me
I don’t fake it at all to seek society’s approval
As I strive to become a better me
I am me and that’s the definition of me

I am me
I love been myself not themselves
Not what anyone wants me to become
Whatever betides I stand to me
I am me and nothing can contest to that fact

I am what the father say I am
Cause I was made in His image
And still in His image am living
Because in Him I move and have my being
Without God am nothing because His all have got

His grace came calling when no one was there
His grace found me in a place where justice demanded my life
His grace picks me up from the dustiness of the miry clay
His grace kept me on and on my feet on solid ground to stay
Definition of me

You can call me names and all that
But that is to you since am not what you label me
I am me that’s the definition of me
I pick up the lines of the harsh critics words throw at me
I make it a milestone in building a monument that outlive tomorrow

I am me
Have come thus far to let the words of mere mortals
Pull me down as I go through life
I realize that either you are good or bad
People will talk about you

But what they say about me
I don’t let it bring me down anymore
But I take in the world and take a sincere search inventory
Is it true about what they say about it
Then I work on myself but I never allow their words to dwell in me
