Be careful when doors swing wide and free
Not all that beckons is meant to be
The golden glow may hide a snare
A prison’s doors too gleam with care
Freedom and chains both wait to decree.
The world’s allure can tempt the soul
With promises bright but not the whole
A prison can smile its doors ajar
Masking its truth from near to far
A mirage of dreams with a hidden toll.
Opportunity knocks with a subtle grace
But wisdom must guide our hurried pace
What lies beyond a treasure or trap
A question that whispers in each clap
Discernment's torch must light the space.
Not all that glitters is a golden gate
Some paths conceal a darker fate
Even a cage can seem a haven bright
If wrapped in shadows disguised as light
So tread with care and contemplate.
Be careful when doors swing open wide
Let wisdom and courage walk by your side
Prisons too have doors remember this well
Their promise can weave a deceitful spell
Choose only those that lead to pride.
