Night After Midnight

Soon the dew started falling
As darkness prevails over the earth
Each one is preparing to call it day
From the strenuous busy of the day
Soon everywhere became vacant

Is midnight already?
As the eyes gazed towards the clock
Only the thick tack of the clocks
Is clearly and loudly hard right from the distant
Where the clock was…night after midnight

Of what use was the day
As our heart sends out her
Heart searching questions to our brain
As we try everything to answer the puzzles
Yeah! is true what have I really achieve today?

Did it went just like the other days
That have lived in the past wondering away
In wantonness and aimless frivolities of venture
From one pillar of street to another
Till the dusk came with less to nothing to show for it

It was a beautiful day
So will say at the beginning of the day
When it all started and so we thought
We had so much time ahead in the day
There’s still time not until night falls

Oh! How time flies we say
When we saw it all coming…night after midnight
Of what have we done with it here face with night?
Has today gone away in fruitless venture
Has it been able to add to our skills, talents and ability?

In preparedness of the future
The future belongs to the one
Who got the best use of each day as it comes
Tomorrow will never be useful to that one
Who squanders off today in laziness and idleness
When your night comes of how will it meets you?
