Reunion

A kneeling pad, used in the gardenImage via Wikipedia

The service is nearing an end
The choir is singing “just as I am”
And now as the old song is played
People at the alter kneeling down to pray
Reunion

As the church was crowded with people
As worshipers trop into the church
Seated and awaiting for the service to commence
As mothers, fathers and children are all present
In anticipation to hear from God the word for today

As the preacher preach the salvation message
I see a father is praying with his son
Mama kneeling beside them thanking God they came
There’s an old man standing there in tears
Giving up apart of him he’s held back for years

As everyone in a serious mood
Settling and check up his life
Letting go, re-examination and rededication
Making sure all is right
Reunion

Heart are been broken
Life’s are been change
Those who called upon Him
They will never be the same
Reunion

The time has come to give into the Lord
That’s what the alter is for
You don’t have to carry
Those burdens any more
Go quickly now before they close the door that’s what the alter is for

Only if you can let go all
At the alter and have a fresh breathe of relief
That peace within that no one can offer you
Return back to God your creator
And have a reunion with Him today
