Our Nation…Our Roles (Nigeria)

Coat of arms of Federal Republic Of Nigeria.Image via Wikipedia

Often times we sit and talk about everything
The road, education, electricity, sport and government
Not doing anything talking and complaining it can not
And can never take us to anywhere the desirer place
But will still b eon that same old spot where are in are
Day in day out yes the government is human with
Short coming, they are human being not angel

Even in developed countries of the world
With a well organized political parties and electoral process
Economic system in all spheres of that country
It is acknowledge that government alone cannot
Meets all the check list of need on the needs of all her citizens
Don’t just site down there with arms fold leg cross
And thinking of the government will do everything for us
But you should think of what you can do for your country

Everything is government, government for how long
Our roads are bad government
Our electricity is in a worse state government
Strike and fallen standard of education government
Low standard of living government
Unrest and insecurity government
Lack of infrastructure and maintenance government
All is government what have you done to improve the state of the nation

The question we all should ask ourselves with answers is
What role have you contributed to the nation building?
You site down in that front of television listening
To news looking for short coming fault finding
Which day will you be a fault repairer
Do you build up or pull down
A caterpillar or a cankerworm
Which one are you? What’s your role?
In nation building…since you’ve been complaining
Has things been change since then can’t you think
Our Nation Nigeria, Our role as citizens

Lets build a nation
Not tear it down we’ve got a vision
We can make Nigeria shine
Lets come and fix a new Nigeria
It begins with you and I…

We look for a Nation: Nigeria

HAMPSHIRE, IL - AUGUST 19: John Deere equipme...Image by Getty Images via @daylife

A powerless nation epileptic power supply
A furless nation shortage of fuel supply
A nation void of credible election rigging
Sick education system unrest in all spheres
What nation is ours, we seek for a nation?

Everyday we wake up site on a round table
Discussing a fruitless and unyielding forum
As everyday comes and go yet the nation remains the same
The anti-confab conferences the ill reforms
Just another way to lute public funds

Administrations come and go yet
Our roads is still the same old shape
Our educational systems are backward
Our health programs hospitals lack of good medical equipment
Our power supply goes from worse to worsen it former state
Re-branding and branding Nigeria
We are tired of these old tricks we look for a nation

Yet we are not there after so many years
Of attaining independent turning to a republic
Democracy came into being on that faithful day
May 29th 1999 has the dividend of democracy reflects
On the nation as a whole or to some selfish seeking
Group of individual paddy, paddy government

What can we do ‘cos
We need a change the way forward
We cannot site down and look things
Go from bad to worse turning into a biggggggggg problem
Unresolved waiting for the coming generations
To solve why don’t we repair the licking roof
For our generation (unborn and born children)
Before we go, why?

We look for a nation, not just a nation
But a nation…
Free from fraudulent act
Free from poor educational system
Free from corruption from all quarters
Free from ill reforms
Free from corrupt leaders and citizens
Free from any manner of evil act
One can think of a nation where God is highly esteem above man and beast

A Pitiable State: Nigeria

Logo created for Nigeria Vision 2020Image via Wikipedia

A nation so filled with milk and honey
With so much to offer her citizens at large
With oil and all kinds of mineral resources
There are a lot of unanswered questions about Nigeria
What a state of pity the state of a nation

A leader that says upheld the rule of law
Our nation is sick and needs reformation not ill-reforms
The abounded refineries, the electoral process, the educational systems
Importation of fuel for local consumption what of the refineries?
Sending exorbitant fee on importation the oil we have

Year in year out our schools produce candidates
I see a lot of the Youth Corp member in mass
Without no job for them to do after years of study
Nigeria today is man o! man connection to secure a job
Is that the way it should be? What a pitiable sight to behold
Corruption in all quarters of the nation

A nation void of so many things
Good road, good housing
Good infrastructure in place with lack of maintenance
Good government, good education
Good power supply, good security

See we’ve come of age
We can just carry on
As if there’s no problem at all
Suffering and smiling no
Lets face it the young ones youth
Are sick and frustrated about everything
What is going on to the nation?

See the youths are working
Some are seeking ways to escape
To run away into another man’s land
To become a stranger in someone’s else land
Just to survive ‘cos the matter is getting out of hand
What have we done?

The pastors, musicians and writers
Have talked and talked but no avail
Everything seems there no beacon of hope
Casting deaf hears now is lets be praying
That one day all will be better

Paradise is closing down

IMG_8308Image by Johan Lange via Flickr

What have we done?
Look what we’ve done to the world
Epidemic here and there things are happening
Ethnic crisis full of hatred
Paradise is almost closing down

The wide life
The water bodies
Consume wiping off nature’s potentials
The land is pollute is under siege
We’ve lost it all deforestation
Destroying nature killing the space

Come lets me take you
With your hands in mine
Into the journey to paradise
All is drifting away so subtle unnoticed
What can we do to recover paradise?

Look paradise is closing down
Far back to where we are coming from
How it all started from the foundation of the world
When God created the world
Is it the same way it is today?

Have we not ruined it all
In the process of recreating it
We destroy so many things
Now our life is at stake
Nature is fighting back

The sea so disrupted
The land unsafe for use
The planet body in disarray
The water bodies dying lost all
The world is lost for
Paradise is closing down

Entrust upon greatness
That’s why we reach for greatness
In all our endeavour committed to one course
Of been the outstanding set of people
Chosen called out of many nations
The giant of Africa…Naija we dey hail oh!

You have been so strong
You cannot be wrong
Cause in the past you have overcome
On your face there is a light
That shows that you’re a winner

The happiest people in the planet
Inspite of the problems
We are still sealing through the hard times
We never give into setbacks
Cause you’ve never fail

No matter what
The Power of Naija is in us
We are Africa and we live in Africa
Africa is in us…no matter what
We get there the Power of Naija

Thou the world
We look down on us
It won’t be an easy task at all
Am calling on those who have lost faith in Naija
Believe again we can impact change

Who sees us
As no good for nothing fellow
An article of no commercial value
A nation full of all corrupt practice
One can ever imagine…wait for the day we prove you all wrong

Naija Dream

right angleImage by MedoRRa via Flickr

I seek for a better nation
Where people live in peace and harmony
Not afraid of the person next to them
Where we live as one big and happy family
The Naija Dream will never die

Nation statehood
Where Christ is Lord and guide
Where dreams never dies
Where innovation meets performance
Where the rule of law is upheld
Where our system is free from all forms of corrupt practice

Looking away from nepotism or tribalism
Not until you know someone you can secure a job
But when one can be judge by what he/she has to offer
For a particular position of all kinds
Where free hearing is granted on any issues

Void of epileptic power supply
A nation where the heart is at home
Void of unrest and strike action
To change we’ve got to change
As citizens and leaders, ruled and rule

This is the Naija Dream
We dream…we work towards it
Making the Naija Dream a reality
Yes we can if we think we can
By casting away far from us
Putting our differences aside

Forging ahead to a better country
Dare to believe we can impact a change
Change is what is constant
We are bound to change yes welcome
To the new Naija

Nigerian Dream

Portal NigeriaImage via Wikipedia

We dream of a better country
A country in which righteousness reign
With holiness taking the center stage
In every life, home, schools and offices
This is the Nigerian Dream

We wish for a nation
Void of corrupt practices, injustices and crisis
A nation with a future assured
We seek and look for a better country
Where the heart is at home

Not a country of woes and lashing of terror
Neither people of shaded character
So filled and thirsty for power
Wanting to get power by all means
Do or die affairs the Nigerian Dream

Turning back the hands of time
Recovering the lost glory of Nigeria
The rebirth of a new face of Nigeria
Looking for a better country
Nigeria

Nigeria must be fix by Nigerians
Must be built by Nigerians
Cause we have no other home elsewhere
That we can call our home
This is the Nigeria Dream
This is your land

Did anyone ever tells you?
Did anyone ever say?
Do you capture the vision of glory?
Spans o’er the distant land
So held on to the Nigeria Dream

Mega calacas 8Image by stereocity via Flickr

Oh what a tragedy brought on humanity
How we destroy the same land we are living in
We’ve render the labour of our hero’s past
Throwing it into the sand in shame
Fighting and killing taken lives
Kidnapping and hostages are the other of the day.

Gaining powers either do or die affair
Intoxicated and drink for power
Corruption at its peak…oh!
Unemployment in the land rising crime rate
The fallen standard of education
The state of the nation.

Our country is under a siege
We’ve compounded our crisis point
At this point we don’t which we to turn to
The government...her citizens are in dilemma
What have we done…our nation is dying
Ill-reforms, election malpractice

Administrations come and go
Yet the land remains backward
Unfulfilled political manifesto
Only in spoken words not seeing the effects of the words
How long not too long we realize we’ve been deceive
Again oh! When we there be people who has heart for others

To stare the ship of this great nation
When we her citizen breath the air of relief
Of good governance upholding the rule of law
With the fear of God instill in her leaders and citizens
Those who will rule in the principle of impartiality
Not paddy, paddy government but Democracy.

O! God of creation, direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right, help our youth the truth to know
In love and honest to grow, and live in just stand true
Great lofty heights attain to build a nation where peace
And justice shall reign…will must arise!

Emancipating people from mental slavery

Cause I deserve to be heard

Achieve my aim and purpose in life
With a big so big dreams coming into reality
Out there I want to be heard
Up there in the big blue sky
I want my star to shine for eternity

Over death, failure, fear, despair and intimidation

To impact my world
Bright the little corner you place me in

Save the Nation

Save the family…save a nation
Nigerians will build by Nigeria
Did anyone ever tell you?
Did anyone ever say?
Do dare for a new Nigeria
A land void of unrest where milk and honey flows
This is your land…save the nation.

We are Nigerians there’s no other country
We’ve got we must arise and stand to be counted
We can’t avoid leaving everything in the hands of few people
Government is tiring as citizens we must arise to the clarion call
There’s no time to waste lets build a nation
Not tear it down we’ve got a vision we can make
Nigeria shine…saves the family.

Enough of all this questions
What can I do…what impact can I make?
You can yes you can if you believe
We don’t have to site down gathered
At the newspaper stand talking, complaining
Accusing, criticizing and blaming
Those in power what have you done
To betterment the situation on ground.

To change our nation
It begins with you and I
Cause we are the masses…not just that
We ourselves should see ourselves as the agent of change
Changing from blaming to blessing
From accusing to accomplice in progress
From prejudice to praying for our nation
We must save the nation…arise Nigerians hear the call

Each day make it an habit
To speak well of your country
Cause what you say will attract what you’ll get
Remember there’s power in the tongue
Don’t play with it…have you pray for Nigeria today?
Heal our nation oh lord for us
Touch our family…save the family.

The Fact of Life

Our life revolves around us by what happen to us
The people we meet each day coupled with the experience
These and some other things shape our life as we live
Sometimes on the mountain top other time right there in the valley
We meet them along the way as we travel through the journey of life
They are friends, employee and soul mate
Some friends are meant to be kept others are not meant at all
Cos they don’t worth it never they are just there.

Talking about the fact of life…life itself is a teacher
The more we live the more we learn
Have come stages in life along way I’ve come
Sometimes I resolve within me that is not good to be good
Reason why is this the good you do today we be forgotten today
Or better still you do good today you got stab at your back
You don’t know who got your back…or who wants you out of the game.

“It is required a steward that he should be found faithful”, in all things
says the Holy Scripture, but some human being takes advantage
of the faithful ones thinking that they are fools by rendering back to them
evil for good, what will you say of a worker who walk faithfully
bringing the best of the best he got inside of him in working for an individual
or a firm at the end of the day when a bout leaving he wasn’t compensated
very well see to that? What’s your view point on that?
does it worth been good at all.

Inspite of everything think on this!
Do good in all the way you can…as much as you can?
To all the people you can…in all the places you can
Thou if not rewarded do you good when wrongfully use
Cheated and accuse do the good you can
Do your best leaving the rest for the righteous judge
Who sees in the deepest dark of the night…Let go, Let God
Leaving them to God give them up to Jesus.

To you Mr. Right you think you are smart
Thinking you’re fast but I call it foolishness
Cheating innocent souls your physics will smell in your noise one day
And that day is this close you can’t run away from your shadow
Your time is ticking fast you see human sometimes uses their own hand
To draw what will eventually leads them to an inevitable quite end
Later they will have forgotten that, that act of what they’ve done
Is what puts them in deep shit oh look at you
The facts of Life…live as if you’ll die in the next minute.

Farewell

Armageddon loomingImage by nimboo via Flickr

Thou distance may lies in-between us
yet only the memories we've shared
we last on our mind while we're gone
so much to miss as we depart
to different place in the earth.

As we go to from me
I wish you God's blessing
is unmerited favor, health re-bots
as make this sweet memories
of the time we spend together.

We've play together
we've pray together
the moment of disagreement to agree
on certain issue what a memorable
moment we've had together.

Farewell
...the place we've been
...to the people we've known
...to meet someday, somewhere and somehow
...to faraway distant place
farewell.

The saddest words
to say now is goodbye
and I hope life threat you well
and I hope you had all what you dream of
I wishing joy and happiness.

Love with the sweet memories
wishing you God's presence
farewell to a friend
