NEVER FORGET HOME

A home is where the heart
Is safe and secure while been at home
Never forget he said but the question
That seeks earnest answer is this
Did his government made such a home

He is clamouring to never forget
Home enough for those at home already
Talkless about for the ones
Who are far away from home
Never forget home

You went headlong
To seek medical attention
Outside the confines of the same home
You made announcement to diasporas
Not to ever forget home

Is the home safe enough
To sleep at night with eyes close
How far traveling by road talkless about sea
Each day tragedy struck in that city and this city
Never forget home

Our street is wearing
The shadow of itself
As banditry has taken the centre stage
With epileptic power supply
And you said home

To what end are you clamouring for home
Where the hope of having a peaceful home
Has eluded those who has lived all their life
Back here at home has nothing profitably gotten from home
Never forget home you say

How many of your children reside here at home
While so many months of prolong war
In an unholy fist of war with ASUU
Refuse to reach conquest talkless of resolution
Never forget home

Home can never be forgotten
When all things are working out well
Back at home and peace of the mind, body and soul
When our land is secure free from blood shared
That is only when home can never be forgotten

WHEN GRACE SPEAKS THE LAW KEEP QUIET

His grace reaches out to all
To the one whose wonder far
From the father’s house
And left the porter fold
Into down that road

Whose wonder far and fallen
Short of God’s own salvation
To graceless live lived in pleasure
In chase of this things and care of this world
When grace speaks

Everything remains silent
Silence to the accusation
Of our archenemies
Who daily stood before our maker
Tending our shortcoming and faults

When grace speaks
The sin that was left scares
With pain deep down our soul
That we find it hard difficult
To let it go talkless of reaching forgiveness

When grace speaks
The law keep quiet
The justice of law that demands our life
But mercy saw us through the Son
Not what will were was

But we should become
When grace steps into our case
Our case of hopelessness
In which the law is standing at a corner
Waiting to take its full wrought of sinful living

When grace speaks
The law keep quiet
The handwritten of criticism of men
Erase off as against our names
We come plain spotless guiltless before the law

That the law found no dot of fault
Against us because grace is speaking
And law remains quiet silence
When grace speaks the law keep quiet
Grace found me, keeps me and leads me home

THE MAN: Robert Sylvester Kelly (a.k.a R.Kelly)

I watched him and listen to his songs from my tender age
Back in those days while in high school
Your music brings hope to anyone
Who comes in contact with it like a spring ball
It got me bounce back to my feet he is such a great man

But his weakness
Got really hard at him
Wrote some nice great songs
That spans time and distance
Touching many a heart afar off and near

But he never try to conquer his weakness
But his weakness conquers him and
Got a whole grip of every part of him
Threw him off board and swept him off his feet
What a great legend whose lost management skill

In curtailing his excesses
Well vast in song writing
Has the power of the orator of the mind and pen
Loved by many but filled with shady habits hidden from public
I pray you find solace while out there in prison

That Heaven comes to your rescue
To save you just according to your song
That God gives you a second chance at life to live again
That you retrace your slip-off footsteps
And come back home to your Father’s house

You showed many that irrespective
Of their small begin they can become
The world’s greatest of all time
But atlas you cannot turn back again
The hands of time as it has catch up with you

I pray the prison becomes a rehab home
For you to get back into your senses again
And seek for forgiveness from your Creator
And turn a new leaf it saddens to see you in this shit
I wish you well but sometimes something needs to be done

Will must all face the consequences
Of our action small or big for every wrong steps we take
For every wrong choices you make
You got to pay for it if not now someday
So be careful of your action now
So it comes hunting you like a hunting shadow in the future

WHICH WAY NIGERIA?

That is a question
That we all need to answer
At such a time like this
In times like these
Of where we are really heading to

Which way Nigeria?
Where are we really heading to
With all these menaces happening
Will can not afford to seat back
Will all be accountable to answer that question

There is a lot of inefficiencies
Out there littered all over the places
We've made a lot of mistakes many years ago
During the oil boom not knowing it was our doom
Which way Nigeria?

The green revolution is a reality
Let's give it a chance to grow
Let's all join our hands to farm
So that we can have enough food to eat
Which way Nigeria?

We must not seat and watch this country
Wrack to the state of the irrecoverable state
Let's unite young and old to save this nation
It must not fall apart but stand till the end
Which way Nigeria

Enough of every little thing
We blame the government
Because we are the government ourselves
Which way Nigeria?
You got that question please provide answers.

A CHANCE AT LIFE

The life we live at times
We crave for and want dearly
Never comes to us often times
We see our self-wondered far gone
Into our own space

Just wanting to be alone
All by our self in our own thoughts
Wondering from one to another thoughts
Of the several if that flows our minds
That we want just it to leave it all behind us

Letting the rain comes down
In mighty streams of down pour
Washing all our worried thoughts away
From off our face and within our heart
A chance at life

Is better to reach for the stars
And to chase after it with everything
We’ve got just to think whether
We can have a chance at life
Living out the real essence of life itself all

Things falling into places
Never falling apart in our eyes
As each moment of the day
We glen from ear to ear
Savouring the moment maximizing it all

As many things begins at our attention
We are here and there reaching
For this and that to be there
At the most times that is needed
A chance at life

No matter where life gets you from
No matter where it melts
No matter what time of life you are in
Morning, noon and evening time
A chance at life you have now

Forget the worries
Live the life you have while it is now
Be in every moments of your life
Because you don’t know when
You have such a moment again
Just a chance with life.

RECYCLING OF OLD POLITICIANS

The age long time
Set of old faces
With same ideas
That never left from point A to B
And we came going through the same cycle

The recycling of old faces
Who are too fit to stand in places of leadership
With ill-health to govern nor to rule a whole nation
Recycling of old men and women
Who ought to be resting from service to the nation

Of yester-years of ruling
Is better we all stand and cute like
Real citizens of this great nation
If we really want a change for a lifetime
For this nation that will claim we love

Bringing in new faces
Fresh blood and ideas
Whose got structure and foresight
Sharp like the eye of an eagle
That sees so far farther then the sun that set at dawn

We cannot continue to recycle
And keeping doing this all time
We need men who are so fit health wise
Not the one who upon been elected into office
And spend all the nation’s treasurer in going abroad

For one treatment or the other
Who are so weak to stand to give a speech
Written by someone printed in ink and paper
To be read to the same people they are leading
Recycling of old faces same old idea

Look at the past leaders
Who were elected into office
Who’s got question mark on their health status
That upon resumption of office
Their health status begins to decline

IS THE BIBLE

GOD'S unfailing Word
That outlive man's word
Is the Bible that heals the wounded heart
The hope of the world today
Is the Bible

That transforms a broken heart
Making life a new giving it a meaning
Is the Bible man's compass to Heaven
A guide to living God's lifestyle for believers
Is the Bible

Blessed in every Words in it
Information that seeks the heart of God
Bringing life enternal to its readers
Life to the bones and flesh
Eternal Word of God that never fadeth away

Is the Bible
All in all
The answer to man searchable question
The answer to the world's problem
The forever living Word is the Bible

Inspired by the Spirit of God
Lead the Spirit written by Holy men of God
Letters to pierce the soul
Dividing the heart asunder
Is the Bible.

IF YOU MUST DIE

If you must die
Don’t die for any politician
Listen well and good
Quick one a timely warning
As election preparation is at the heat

Things are no longer normal
Many things are now very wrong
So don’t lose focus of your eternity
Child of God children of the kingdom
Citizens of Heavenly city

If you must die
Child of God
Citizens of the kingdom
Pilgrims here on earth surface
The day is getting dark

And the night is getting darker
And the dawn is getting longer
Evils are prevailing in the air
Signs of the time are everywhere
Get your guide on don’t be swept away

If you must die
Child of the kingdom
Citizens of the eternal city
Lend me your ears and hear me well
If you must die for something

Don’t die for politics it is nonsense
Don’t die for any politician or statesman
It is eternally valueless
Don’t die for the nation
Don’t die for the job

If you must die
Die for Jesus
Die for the kingdom of God
If you must lose
Lose the election but don’t lose your soul

Don’t sacrifice your eternal soul
On the altar of an ignoble election
If you must lose anything at all
Don’t lose your soul
Lose the election but don’t lose your soul

DRUM OF POLITRICKS

It’s beat is so high
Becoming intense
So loud that you can hear it from afar
Wherever you stand
Drum of politricks

The sound are so pleasant so subtle
That you will be lured away
In the sweet smoothen words
Of these politticks of these men and women
They will come calling

Without no breathing space at all
They run like a cheetah after you
Zooming on you at all time
In all corners you will get to see them
Their billboard so erect tall high

Those at every turn you get to see, hear and feel them
To see their posters defacing our walls
Hear their campaign jingle audio and visual format
Feel their presence as they blast their serene all over
Drum of politiricks that’s it

And the beat goes on
So intense its interlude isn’t here
Flooding the whole city
The highways and the street
Drum of politiricks

It will get so high hard enough
That if care is not taking
Your ear drum will be damage
Beyond repair that you cannot hear
When the warning sounds comes calling

They will come in their numbers
With different format for same goal
To canvas your vote to get them all in
But using your head when these drum of politricks
Comes drumming at your ear and watch your dance step

Don’t be carried away while you dance
The drum of politricks so deceptive
Don’t get deceive by it
And what's that the
Drum of politricks

BE ON YOUR GUIDE, THEY ARE HERE

They are out there
They are at it again
They are really filling out
They are spreading it
But you have to be on your guide they are here

They are out there
Like a torrent of sea current
Blasting each rock they touch
They are flowing like a unique force
So hard that its slipperiness can slip you off

The money bag politics are here
About to play their evil plotiricks on you
If you aren’t careful I tell you
You we be swept off from your feet
Not just your feet but your sense

And lost it all out
Your sense of discerning-ment
That it will disarm you
Of your left off weapons
To reason well all because of

Their sugar-coated lips
Written on a mere paper
Which are not workable nor visible
All because to have your vote
Be on your guide they are here

Who are they?
These are ill-manner politicians
Who lacks manner to behave well
Once they taste the wine of power
As it will intoxicate them to the extent of losing senses

They are leaders
Who’s got no heart for their followers
Who has lost the moral up righteousness is questionable
Who’s got no structure to neither rule nor lead
Be careful and be on your guide they are here

They’re locking around the corner of every city
Busy blasting the sound of jingles of political campaign
Spilling out what they cannot offer as they have nothing

WILL MUST SPEAK UP: ELECTION 2023

Is never too late
To make the U-turn of 3600
We’ve come so long
Seating on the same spot
No moving forward or backward

Still the same line time after time
We’re just recycling and recycling
Same old folks who ought to be resting
But many are they wants to die there
Will must speak up come 2023

Election is around the corner
A lot is happening and still happening
The nation’s treasure has been looted
To the fibre of its root existence
Everyone is on survival mode

The killings is not here
Because we are killing each other
In the name of religious affiliation
Who did this to us we were once living like brothers and sister
Irrespective of the religious affiliation we belong

The guys in the government
They’ve failed us all
To deliver their mandate to us
Upon assuming power when they were voted
Now is just I not all self-centeredness has taken off

They are busy chasing and working
Tirelessly towards the election 2023
And fail casting deaf ear to the untold
Suffering, starvation and struggles of citizens
We all must arise and speak up now or will shut up

Speak up to your friends, family and colleague at work
Scream aloud for each one to get their PVC’s
And get ready for the rain of emancipation
Of our beloved fatherland as our motherland
Cannot fail to bury her own anymore

To make history happen
Will all must arise and speak up
Speaking for peace not for violence as we cannot achieve nothing in violence

A LOT WILL HAPPEN AS WE PREPARE FOR ELECTION 2023

As we get ready in our dear nation
To usher in a new administration
That will stir the ship of this nation
For the next four years
As these political men and women

Are out there doing all they can
To make sure they enter into power
That if it takes them to go to any length
In defaming the next opponent
All in the name of becoming the people’s person

Many will go far as to dig up
The past of their fellow opponent
And many ambushes will be lay
Like a cover pit it will be a snare and a trap
A lot will happen: election 2023

The heat is on
The drums of war is been beating
The rain is about to pour out
And some have a mind seal with a hot iron
That comes hell hot water they fierce full ready

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOUR WORDS FAILS YOU?

When it seems is so faraway
When it seems life is so unfair
When it seems betrayal hits like thunder strikes
When it seems you are at the crossroad
What do you do when your words fails you?

Have you come to a crossroad?
In life endeavour and you see no sight ahead
Have you wondered if someone cares?
About life plight you go through long dark lonely road
Have you shut down on the world after several shout out?

And no one seems to hear you out
You just you yourself in your own world
And life flows some high
And deep inside you are all alone
What do you do when your words fail you?

You’ve stood in front of several people
Speaking hope and life into their stormy confuse life
As you watch your words have effects
In their life and you were happy
That you brought smile and happiness into one’s life

But within you
You needed a shoulder to lean on
A hand to hold you and pull up
To your shaky wurmbering feet
What do you do when your words fail you?

Do you walk away from life?
Do you shut out the world totally?
Do you cry out to human or God
Do you seek for help where there is none?
What do you do when your words fail you?

I know is tough and hard like hell hot water
But just be patient and calm
Because in sphere of silence of these whole events
You find the inner you of your strength
To pull it all through even when your word fails you

BE HUMBLE, TIME CHANGES

Don’t assumes life is beautiful today
That you’ve got it all and have it all
You command at will and everything
Fall in places never falling apart
Be humble time changes

The one who’s slept
At the bus terminal yesterday
Who’s got no shelter, clothing and job
Will rise up tomorrow to that heights
Of becoming someone who has it all

The rain refuses to fall today
Doesn’t mean it won’t fall again
Dreams never come true now
Won’t mean that it we never come true
Be humble time changes

Tomorrow the sun will shine
Tomorrow the dream will come true
Tomorrow the darkest night got a dawn inside
Tomorrow the reawaken of a new day
Be humble time changes

No matter what you’ve got
Be rest assured that you were given for a purpose
To be blessing to the one who’s got nothing
And in blessing others that which you have remains
Be humble time changes

Time changes
Seasons come and goes
The winter storms will come and go
But one thing is sure humility carries one far
In the midst of plenty be humble

A wealthy individual
Is one who’s got the coat of humility on
Be worn at all times in all ways
In the midst of it all remember
You were once down on that road

DON’T LOSE SIGHT OF YOUR SOUL

If your treasure is with God
Your heart and soul will always
Be with Him and in tune with Him
One day you will call it a day
People we cry and mourn for you

But sooner or later
They will move on
Just as if nothing has happened
While you’ve breath your last breathe
And life has gone off from your body

Only what’s left his your soul
Which we forever live out there in eternity
Is a long road for you to take unprepared?
This world and its deeds we fade away
But in the chase of this and that

Please don’t lose sight of your soul
Because the world will come calling
Strongly at you to do this and follow that
A lot of trends are out there
But follow the trend that will gain you eternity with God

Because is only one life
And it all likes a sleep in the night
Life is vapour we are here now
Tomorrow we’re gone fading away like stars of the morning
Don’t lose sight of your soul

In your chase for the food for the body
In your chase of knowledge don’t get
In your chase of position seeking don’t let it slip by
In your chase of cloth and raiment don’t be carried away
In all that you chase don’t chase it all at the detriment of your soul

THE LAWLESS BEING: POLICE

To what ends are the duty
Of these men and women in black
Are they well-groomed and trained?
To uphold order within the spheres
Of our society transcending to communities

Where people are found and living
Or they are just living out there
Under the real purpose
Of been called to the college
Where they were trained in service to humanity

You see them all around
These days in their unkempt
Under maintained vans
Parading the whole places
From the highways to the street

Then take a stroll
And go watch them
Where they live aside from the barracks
You will see the height of indiscipline
Exhibited by this men and women in black

They constitute all manners of torts
Torts of trespass, assault, battery, negligence,
Torts of products liability, and of intentional
Infliction of emotional distress
There are also separate areas of tort law

Including nuisance, defamation,
Invasion of privacy, and a category of economic torts
Disobeys traffic rule law at will
Driving one way and using a car that has no plate number
They stop someone at will

And they begin to carry out
Their search that shouldn’t be
And implication follows suits
From this lawless men and women in black
Everywhere they go

At every opportunity they got
They displayed their act of wickedness
And I don’t care attitude of these guys
The men and women in black

A MILLION DREAM

There is a dream
In everyone's heart
So dare and so close
To one heart that we can feel it
And that's a million dream that keeps us awake

Every night we lie in bed to sleep
We think of what the world could be
The vision we want to see
Our dream has been birthed into reality
A million dreams

The bright colors of the night stars
Of a beautiful moonlight
That lights up the night too
Is a million dreams for the world
To see that we live and we were here

Stayed up all night
Work our hands to the bone
Our motto is never deferring for an hour
In pursuit of this a million dream
That sparks up this desire a burning one

To keep hitting at it
To come hell hot water
To see the light come true
In respective of the heat
Make sure you birth that million dream
To reality see you at the top.

MY DAD: JOHN.A. OKOH

The coolest gentle man
Have ever knew
So full of gracious behaviour
A man of peace who seeks
A peaceful environment

In cohabiting in all love and harmony
The man of the people found by all
Love by all Heaven’s fall angel
Send down to mother earth
To distribute lots of love and kindness to humanity

The evidence of meekness and humility
From the meekness that hoses out
From this great being of great quality
That stands him out from the mix multitude
My dad: John .A. Okoh

Of a truth your kind of man
Is so rare to be found
You are charitable and accommodative nature
Makes you singled out from the rest
With a pure sincere honest heart

The son of the one who exhumes
Nothing but an open heart
Who goes the distance to see his world
A better place for not just his own household
But for all both far and near

Such a great father
Whose discipline even soft
But a no-nonsense man
Who’s act of discipline is a top notch
Can not be compare to another

Heaven blesses the day you grace this world
I and my siblings are so grateful and lucky
To have you as a father who goes out of his way
To provide, protect and stands up for his family
My dad: John .A. Okoh happy father’s day

A FATHER’S LEGACY

Is a long smoke
That wont quench for a long time
As it smells is sense from a far
You cannot hide it
A father’s legacy

Travels fast
Like a speed of light
At the blink of an eye
Like a theif in the night
Just as the sand at the sea shore

A father’s legacy
Is of a great gift to his children
After long he has gone
And take a bowl from this earth
Just like a footprint on the sands of time

Is a legacy for the children
Both born and unborn
Is the duty of the father
To make sure he leaves
Nothing but a great priceless legacy

That will outlive the sands
Of time and memory for his children
As he lives the life he has for now
For the later of making a long lasting impact
For the children

Of making the children
See the real essence of living
A life of worthy of emulation
In social relationship to their fellowmen
Dwelling in love, peace and stability with their fellow human

A legacy of love
Is the best thing to hand over
To the children in the world of hates
And unfair criticisms here and there
A father’s legacy

At such a time like these

FOR THAT MAN AT FATHER’S DAY

Who walks his hands to the bone
To make sure the family fend fine
Who goes out of his way to create
An enabling environment for his household
For that man at father’s day

Who knows what a family is
Who never negotiate his family
Happiness and well being for anything in this world
Bringing love to shine through the darkest night
For that man at father’s day

Who knows the worth of family
At the heart of every human existence
The family rises and falls at the fountain of togetherness
Of quality time spent with the family
For that man at father’s day

Who never runs to succeed
Out there only in his career nor the corporate world
But who believes that succeeding at home
Is really what matters so much in life
As is better to succeed at home then to lose the family

For that man who goes the distance
To setting the space for his children
In guiding children of a strong moral upbring
Who in-turn tomorrow become a blessing to the world
For that man who chase the wind

Come hell hot water
Who is ready to stand
And go the distance for the family
A father who stand tall when the days are not fine at all
Whose strength is a shoulder to lean when the darks growth dim

A MAN ENOUGH TO BE A FATHER

There are many fathers
Scattered around today
Our world is filled with me
Who transcends from boy
From a teen to adulthood

In becoming a father
From a teen into a man
Sooner or later adulthood
Caught up with this small little both
A man enough to be a father

And the journey begins
Of where he ends up to
Of what kind of father
This small boy will become
And as moments flew by

Not all men are man enough
To be a father to build and lead
A home-built firm upon so many
Godly attributes to your spice up
This home he is about to built

A man enough to be father
Whose have the fear of God
Instill in him rule by the Spirit of God
Control by Him filled with Godly attributes
A man enough to be a father

NEPOTISM VERSUS TRIBALISM IN TODAY'S CHURCH.

The early church started out so well
On the clean slate of avoiding
Any form of the attribute of the world
In which she finds herself
As they shun all kinds of nepotism and tribalism

The apostles never have an element
Of being biased in discharging their service
To the people of God those early time
In the church's existence they serve whole
Heartedly without in favour of favoritism
But alas in today's church is the opposite

We see the wine of nepotism and tribalism
Is been served and many have been drunk
Of this same wine that intoxicates
At high crescendo
Our churches today

Are not what the early church was
As many are not been driven so high
In nepotism what's we I get in return
For doing this and that
And the beats of tribalism goes on

If he is not from my tribe I won't help him
If she is not from my tribe I won't marry her
So went far in church leadership
As we see tribalism been effected there
To the extent a fellow church member

Seeking a place of employment
And the other church member
Whose got the capacity to get the job
For the unemployed church member
Has to say I can never give or employ

That particular tribe into my company
To work for me with the reason
Because someone from that tribe are proud
Nepotism and tribalism in the church
Where has it been found

In the early church
That a trace of nepotism and tribalism
Is been trace of talkless been heard off
But in early church today
Is normalcy nepotism and tribalism

Is seen glared in our appointment of people
To occupy the post of leadership in the church
How did we get here as a body of Christ the church.
