BEFORE YOU VOTE TOMORROW.

Before tomorrow comes
When you stand in the face to face
With the ballot box starring at your face
Standing in a long queue to cast your vote
Remember the state of the nation
And those who brought us to this point in our nation

As our nation
Moves from the home where peace
Co-exist with harmony
Whose long before we know it
We lost the peace at home
And home never home again

As we become strangers
In our home as our motherland
That once flows in milk and honey
Is not been painted in blood RED the colour of an innocent soul
Killed and massacre during

The Endsars protest
The Owo massacre
When our brothers and sisters
Went to worship God and were killed
Right in the presence of their Maker

Before you vote tomorrow
Check your pocket and weigh
The money inside your pocket
Not that you don’t have money
But the ones who govern without feelings locked down all money

And money becomes a scarce commodity
Instead be a common commodity
That can be found everywhere we go
Just like the MTN slogan how do come to this point
Of legal tender is never legal tender as it becomes scarce

Before you vote tomorrow
Remember those in captivities
Of the bandit, kidnapper, and hostages
All because of our security network
Has a breach and its network has broken down.

QUESTIONS

That pops up on our mind
And transcends into our heart
As we sit all day thinking about it
And we carry it all along around within us
Questions that skip all events begging for answers

Answers to many events
That beclouded our existence
Of what will be and the many zillion ifs scenario
Things that aren’t not being in existence
But only exist in our subconsciousness

Even while we are so asleep
We are so alive our mind has shut down for the day
Yet our brain keeps going in circles
Of so many things of life drama
As each scene and episode fits into our present

Even though we sway off the thought
Of living in the now while our future is still afar
The present has to contend for attention
Because the future has stolen our attention from our present
Questions

Of what will be a day after tomorrow
Will life continue to be this way
Are we going to drift off from the shore
Or still be swimming in the midst of stormy sea
With its torrent and current waving so high above the sea level of life

Life serves us a hard knock
That knocks us so dead drop
Behind our backs are on the ground
As our shock absorber is broken
And hope of repair is far from emancipation

We ask questions
Questions that question our self believe
And faith in ourself as we are drifting
From courage and hope for a better tomorrow
While long we still have today

VIOLENCE HAS NO PLACE IN A DEMOCRATIC ELECTION.

For election to be credible
They must be free fair and peaceful
Everyone should be able to cast
Their vote peacefully and free from violence
Remember is an election not electwar

This is a national call
For peaceful expression of our views
Even though we don't agree on one candidate
The goal here is to have a violence-free election
Because in this we can really we are democrat.

We have waited so long for this day to come
So lets not go soiling our hands with violence
Let’s go with aim of having a peaceful show
Remember the election is not war but
For us all to come together to reason together

In choosing that group of people
That we go speak our mind
In the seat of power are the president and governors
Extending to the representative in the house of assembly
Violence has no place in a democratic election remember

If we must move the country forward
It starts in the period of electing
Credible leaders to fit into position
To serve our nation and her citizens
To the best of their best abilities

Will unanimously shun violence
Of any type be it verbal abuse or none verbal abuse
Vote buying and bullying of any kind
Hate speech that can stirrup anger
And remember there is life after the election

HOPE ON THE HORIZON FOR A BATTERED COUNTRY

The land is not thriving again
A lot is beclouding our existence
As citizens, state and nation
We don’t know where to go
Nor who to trust like hope has left us

Forsaken us to our fate
As each man for himself
God for us all watching from a distance
We seek a new better country
Where there is hope for everyone

We are tired
We have lost hope
The horizon is not clear again
Our country is in its state of it remain
As the citizens hope on the horizon of a battered country

A better country that’s not far from here again
Even though hope has been dashed
Withered away like a flower
Scourged by the heat of the sun and we still
Hope on the horizon for a battered country

Who was milked and lotted so much from her
Who’s strength is failing her even
When she is the giant of Africa
Hope on the horizon still hoping
Even when we stand on a hill
And yet our sight cannot sight hope afar

But rebirth is about to happen
The sound of strong emancipation is about to happen
Things are about to change from the old status quo
An army or revolution is breaking out
I am sure the season of rebirth is now for Nigeria.

We dare not miss this moment in history!
As history got a date with our country
Our nation has been through a lot
Within the means of lots left
We must all arise to save the remains of this great nation
Lift up your eyes Nigeria!!!! Your set time is Now!

A MAN IS HIS HEART

His thought shows
The kind of man he is
His ways define
His destination in life cos
As a man thinketh so he

From inside projects
To the outer space of what a man is
As is not judged by its cover
But from inside outflows
Springs of thought that gushes out

A man is his heart
From the points in which he sees
Things and view the same things
Our mind transcends our existence
The heart is the product of the man

From the heart of man
Is the abundance of his living
That prepares for the now and future
Setting him among fellow human
A man is his heart.

YOU HAVE YOUR PVC? GO OUT AND VOTE.

We've prayed enough
We've tarried long enough
We've debated about this candidate and that candidate
We've watched them at various
Town hall meeting now

Is the time to brace up
And brave up to go out there
With our PVC's in our hand
To make a statement
Of taking back our nation

This election is not a do-or-die affair
Your friend may not share
The same candidate as yours
That shouldn't mean you guys
Should see yourself as ravels

We have been so long
On the same spot
No moving forward or backward
We're still where we are
Day in and day out like years too

This is the time to stand
As we march out come Saturday
Is an election we call it
Not a fest of violence
Characterize election

Enough of prayers
Now is the time to stand in the gap
Stand in the queue no matter
How long do you stand one day
History will remember your stand

Your stand in fixing our nation
Your stand in saving the remains of this great nation
Your stand to write the wrong in history
Your stand to see a new Nigeria working
Not just for a selected few but for all.

THE ELECTION POSTERS

He walks across
So many posters
Defaming the walls
Of each city in the state
Where he lives and dwells in

But did he see hope
Looking at each candidate's picture
On the posters starring at him
As he walked pass by each one
With a long gaze at its letter on the posters

With a hope that seems so far
With so many that have been beclouded
The existence of the state of the nation
Where he occupies so much
Each day events come up.

The election posters
From the manifestos
To the chant of the public address system
Can one find hope in the election posters
Littered around our cities and highway.

Can the common man
Find peace while at home
For how long do we go on like these
Our home is no longer home
The election posters

So shiny and glaring
So radiating beauty of pictures
So much colour that made it colourful
But is there a shiny light of hope
That we transcend and radiate color of tomorrow.

The election we come and go
The posters we go through
Wear and tear before you know it
The posters have faded out
While no hope we transpire from the election posters.

NIGERIA, WHICH WAY FORWARD?

Is to look within us
And see the answers
To all our many questions
Questions like these
Are will free at home?

Like what do say and parade
With soothing words mixed with pride
Of this world are we one nation?
United in religion, ethnicity and creed
Or mere words that actions cannot be backed up with

What binds us together
As a nation and state
Are we really with that heart
The heart that feels at home
Which way forward Nigeria?

Have we forgotten freedom indeed?
In chase of self-seek ill-gotten wealth
Enrich our pursues all in the name
Of cutting our own share of the national cake
Where is the peace have we lost our unity

One nation bound in freedom
That freedom that transcends peace and unity
In on habitation that we call a nation
Are we really one nation? Bind by sovereignty
What binds us is more of what breaks us asunder

Have we gotten freedom indeed?
Or we are just a prisoner whose door
Is open and refuses to come out of the prison room
For how long shall we continue to go on this road
Where is the unity which way forward Nigeria?

KEEPING HOPE

There so much happens
The land is so unfit
The unrest at every corner
How did we get here
We have been through a lot

And we are losing it
To even keep the hope
To live to see the next day
Becomes so slim and weak
Keeping hope

In the midst of all these
Becomes an hopeless case
Ready to be remedy
From the clinch of frustration
Only time will tell of how long we still have to keep hope

Together still going in the midst of life drama
And the street called hope
Is long forgotten as the memory
So blur to reach the line of emacipation
Of an hopeless cases that leads

To an hopeless nameless street called lost hope
Our shock absorber is shamble and broken
Lost on a dark lonely street
We sort and long for hope just in
Keeping hope

When all is failing
Keep the hope
When all is not working out
Keep the hope
And life is unpleasant keep the hope going

You lost the job
Keep the hope
You are withered and tired of life
Keep hope alive never stop believing
Never stop counting the cost

WE OVERCOME THE WIND

We want the rain to fall
We want to move from here to there
We want to feel no more of our pains
We want the water to pour down
In mighty streams to wash our tears away

The wind keeps blowing
Lashing out on our skin
The cold is so much outside
The world is upside down
We are tired of standing in a face-off with the wind

We that drop
That contained the sea
And calm the troubled sea
Where storms alive that want to swallow
The ship where alive alas we need a survival

That will take through the torrent valleys
As the ocean current flows in high crescendo tides
If the children rejoice the women are so happy
And with one strength in unifying forces
We overcome the wind

The winds beneath our feets
That tends to sweep off our feet
From the rocky stands of where we stand in life
Never to want to dray our feet
We overcome the wind

THE KIND OF ELECTION WE WANT

We no want the kind of election
Were the nation go turn upside down
Where house no go gree us to stay again
When be say we go dey run for watin no pursue us
The kind of election we want

Remember say after election life continues
We go still dey while the politicians
We go see them all inside tinted glass car
Carrying siren and military men all over
Everywhere dey go

The kind of election wey we want to see this time
Na the election we see ourself as brothers and sisters
As election no be do or die affair
Remember say na thumb we dey use vote
So no need to bring fist (punch) into election day

Even as campaign dey go on like these
As politicians dey move from this area to another place
As we dey follow them everywhere dey go
Remember say make each person dey go jejely
E no make sense at all to die for one leader wey no worth ‘em

E better make we see the end of election
Then for election to see the end of us
Make sure say you support who you dey support in peace
E no means say we dey support different person
No make say we become enemies to ourself because of this

The kind of election we want
That one way be say we come out in many numbers
To cast our vote for that person wey we feel say
E go do us well in the next four year
The person go use in office for the masses not for himself or herself alone

Remember say
This election na very important issue for our country
Abeg country men and country women, boys and girls
Let’s make sure say we no use fight go vote on that day
And make sure say you no sale your vote

Abeg go vote as your vote this time go count.

WHEN BLACKMAIL BROKE OUT

Am sorry to say this
Am disappointed in you
For letting the mere words of mortals
Get so much at you That you pickup
The untrue stories

Cooked from the side of hates
Dice and dished into the plate and from the pot of hates
Of every constructive sentence
That was translated into statements
That is so well packed

To be turned inside out to be untrue
And serve on a round table
Where it been die-set weighing
Every inch of every single word
Found therein in such a long epistle

Of hate, envy and born out of jealously
Am so highly disappointed
That you all can fall for a cheap
Of written letter carried by the words of the mouth
and a one-sided story of people who lost it a long time ago

With the battle of harboring
So many passionate love lust feeling
Now has grown in its embryo state
To its growth stage so mature enough
I am sorry you let the one

You said you love so much down
And heard his back two four seven
Come rain, come sunshine and hot water
Just because of a mere false fully
Aligation you backed off game over.

Shame on you for buying
Into such a story for belief thrown away
In chase of believing the untrue one-sided story
For licking the oil in the pot of blackmail
When blackmail broke out.

SO MANY LET GO TO BE DONE

In life there are so many things
You need to look away from
If you want to attain the goal of existence
Or else life will live you past
So many let go to be done

You let go sin
So you can come to full
Realization of who God wants you to be
In living for Him and His will
Having the center stage in your life.

You let go of the cares and worries of life
As over-thinking no fit solve problems at all
Just let it go drop life's burden
Take life easy live one day at a time
Don't carry problems on your shoulder

Forget the mere mortal's words
A lot of people want to bring
The next person down with their words
And in their tongue is found the poison
Of blackmail and unfair criticism.

Let it all out because
By the time you do this
You experience the sweetness of life
And it freshness that comes with a great outpouring
Just let it go and rivers of joy will overflow into your life.

AND THE CLOCK STILLED

Life runs so fast
When life starts having a meaning
Stars drop and fade out
Its lights dim when least expected
Someday the sound

Of the thick of the clock
Won't be heard anymore
The cock that crows at dawn
Has lost its voice on life sound
And the clock stilled

The person you see today
Won't be there tomorrow
Life happens and leaves us
With the pain of a lost loved one
The day is coming when the clock

Will stilled and life no matter
Happens anymore as life
Has passed by one like a shadow
That never follows us around anymore
For the clock has stilled.

Death comes unannounced
It breezes in and out of human
Everyone each one doesn’t
Know when nor how when life past
It leaves us with heartbroken in pieces.

AT WHAT POINT?!

Where did we miss it all
Where did we lose it all
Where did we polarise our convenient
For what shouldn't be and yet we move on
At What Point?

Who is inflicting us
With all these hardships and suffering
Is it just the man in power
Or we ourselves are the one
Doing ourself each one towards the other

Is so drunk with corruption
That our conscience never pricks us anymore
We've lost it that which makes us human
The heart for humanity and fellow countrymen and women.

Each day
Each moment
Corruption will keep shouting
Yet corruption fails to take it leave
If not it should take a French leave

But no
I wish our founding fathers are alive
Religion on the other enslaves more people
Our leaders have turned the nation
To an entitled heritage

And yet we keeping
Leaping like a laper on one foot
As we cry out on an hungry stomach
chanting the course of our nation
Yet we are still under the curse of corrupt leadership

Who did this to us?
Where did we miss it?
Where and how did we get to this point?
Which way Nigeria is heading to
At what point?!

Everywhere we go just like the MTN slogan
We see nothing less than hunger and hardship
We don't speak the same language anymore
Just like ETISALAT we lost our voice in unity
Our pride is trodden under other nation's feet
We no longer glow with pride anymore just like GLO.

At what point
Do we lose it
Our naira holds no water
No good healthcare system
Hunger ravages the land
Mass explosive rate of unemployment

And now we are heading to the election
To go out there and queue for so long
To elect a new leader while the ones
Who has lot the nation's treasures
Still seek for re-election at what point
Do we lost it and come to this point?

WAIT!

Yes You
If you feel and think
That you are far
Beyond the reach of God

Just because the situation
And circumstances surrounding
Your existence as human
Think again as God never forgets His own
He will be right there with you

Come rain
Come sunshine
Come hot water
Come hell you will come out strong
As no one is beyond the reach of God

You're of God
The sheep of His pasture
He created you in His image
Crafted you in the palm of His hands
No one, not you is beyond the reach of God.

All of your days belong to Him
He knows you much more than you do
Because He made you and created you
You are not going to suffer defeat in life
No matter what

No matter how far you've gone
No matter how dirty your past might have been
No matter what you are going through presently
All that matter is this you are not beyond the reach of God!

NA GRACE

I don’t know
What I have become
Without the grace of God upon me
All my life is gracing no matter what grace got me
From dusk to dawn

When the night falls
And it seems the sun refuses to shine
And time is no more yet your grace
Remains close to me because na grace
Is not by might nor power divine grace is what I enjoy

Every day of my life
Your blessing is new every morning
You are so amazing God
As you come through for me
God of the hills and valleys

With You there is no emergency
You let go of my weakness
You forgive my sin what a father and a friend You’re
Lord all that I am and all that I have am grateful
Oh what a wonder You are na your grace

All my days you carried me
Been my eyes when I did not see
Beauty fades the grass withereth
Yet you still remain the unchangeable God
Who rules in the affairs of mankind

You carry me when my strength is gone
I look up to you my author and finisher of my head
With You close by me I cannot falter nor fall
You stretch out your hands and carry me
Through the time of storms and you are here

I am so amazed by You
At the sight of your wonder
I catch goosebumps so awe in your presence
As your faithfulness surrounds me all a round
Na grace carry me reach here nor bi okada man
