And to be true to ourselves
We must first make the choice
To live our lives awake
Choose this day to live that kind of life
Socrates said that
The unexamined life
Is not worth living
A life worth spent
Is a life worth living
Unless you are
Continually examining your life
To make sure it is on target
There is a very good chance
That you will wind up
Living someone’s else life
Which means coming
To an end of your life
And realizing that you had
Followed a path that was
Not your own
Each of us has a path
That is most true to us
And if we follow that path
We find happiness
Focusing on what matters
Choose this day
To live life awake
You’ve wore the mask for long
Is time to let go and be yourself
Wake up and be awake
There’s no time
You’ve got to change and be real
Let the real you stand up
Choose to live life awake
