The nation so big with so many people

Diverse religion filled with so many ethnic backgrounds

That makes this great nation the giant of no other place than Africa

Our nation so filled with so many resources endowed on her

Many years ago she got her freedom from the one that ruled her

From there we forge ahead to prove to the world

That we can of a truth yes can contain our own affairs

Without an external body showing that we can contain our sovereignty

As a nation a people called to be free indeed within and without

A nation built on the solid foundation of our founding fathers

The labours of our hero past have never and can never be put in vain

We must see that we protect her and keep her alive

That no matter what she faces she mustn’t die keeping hope alive

In the midst of unfavoured situation our nation but keep going

Democracy has come to stay

We’ve come thus far we cannot be able to look back
