Following
our hearts
May
involve quieting other voices
That
may want is to follow their dream
Being
true to ourselves often involves
Hearing
the one voice that call us even if others cannot hear it
Ron,
who was in his seventies
Had
grown up in a family in which medicine
Was
the profession of choice
His
uncle had been respected physician in the community
And
when Ron decided to go into medicine family and friends applaud his decision
Just
before he was about to enter medical school
He
want to see a gifted chiropractor as a patient
During
treatment, he became acquainted with a discipline
That
believed in the power of the body to heal itself
It
affirm the value of touch which he intuitively found appealing
There
are two keys to following your heart
Having
the discipline to listen and the courage to follow
Ron,
the man who chose to become a chiropractor
Put it
this way you have to follow your heart, because to deny that
Is to
deny everything
Of
course you will make mistakes
You will
miss the mark, but
If you
keep current with yourself
You
move closer and closer to who you came here to be
Perhaps
been true to ourselves is not just about work
Or
family, or whether we have children or where we live
It is
about whether the images and moments of our life
Feel
true to us
When
you are dying
Your
whole life passes before your eyes
What I
found is that it’s not your whole life
But
images of your life that you see
If you
feel good about those images you see
You
will not be afraid to die
Now to
you imagine the moment
That
would pass before your consciousness
What
would you regret of?
What
would you wish to find among those images that are not there yet?
One of
the things we must do to be authentic is to have
The
discipline to really listen to our heart
