Was underlined with that word 2020
Everyone got his manifestos around it
Within that frame beautiful word 2020
As we march to the poll with heads up high
Some years back our hope
Was filled with great expectations
That comes 2020 everything we be fine
Then the government would have done
Their bid in bringing all the promises of 2020 to reality
Many years has come and gone
Administration upon administrations
Has handed over the bar ton of leadership
And yet vision 2020 has not arrive
Here we are still standing, waiting and hoping
As the year 2020 came around
With high hopes and high expectations
But our hope was dashed and smashed to the ground
The year 2020 started out so well in good faith
But little do we know of what faith we serve our fate
Waking up to the dreaded diseases
That took over all the landscape of human existence
As the plans of 2020 was hacked like ballot box
Here comes opportunity to play the play blame on the event
As the failure to actualize the vision 2020 was mired
Everything stands still activities crippled with a restraining order
Stay at home…to stay safe is the campaign
We forget our dear vision 2020
And we wallow in hiding truth, hunger and high cost of living
All in the name of the dreaded visitor that came unannounce
And the pandemic hits the world
Our economic is on deflation and inflation rate
Schools closed as our kids are out of school
Religious houses were shut down and lots of others
The street and highways was deserted
Wait!!! Did it came unannounced
Or we saw it coming and fail to take action on time
How do we get to this point?
Vision 2020 submerge in the pandemic
Where do we go from here?
