Interesting part of
Our everyday life
They come in different
Shapes and messages
 
Some are simply for amusement
While others are didactic
Prescribing one moral, business
Or political messages
Or the other
 
But once in a while you come across
A philosophical message with deeper
Meaning one of such reads thus
If Not For God” for those who understand
The full meaning of this four worded expression
 
It really brings to mind
God’s intervening benevolence
Towards us if not for God
Who had been on our side
Were it not for God 
 
The people of God
Are prime targets of many darts
The spring from wrathful enemies
Who are bent on fulfilling
The destructive mission of satan
 
But many also are the occasions
For which we can say “if not for God”
Even now it may be that you are in the eye
Of an overwhelming flood of affliction
Or torrent of persecution arising from the wrath of men
 
Look beyond it and consider
That the Almighty God is on your side
Be content to know that you will pass through
This water and not be drowned
We here for God and God is there for us
