God is on the look-out
For people who’ll go to any length to please Him
He’s watching out for people
Who’ll not just profess faith upon righteousness
No matter where they find themselves
This brings to mind a face off
That occurred in Babylon between
Nebuchadnezzar and the three Hebrew men
Even in the face of a fiery flaming furnace
They refused to betray God
God is looking for people in this generation
Who will set themselves apart
For the sake of the Gospel
People who’ll stand and defend
The Gospel truth in the face of fierce
Opposition, ridicule or contempt
The whole point of redeeming us from sin
And bringing us out from darkness
To his marvelous light is to set
Apart for Himself a peculiar people
Who’re ready to obey His commandments
And be given unto good works
He’s not interested in wishful words of mouth
Empty praise and worship or mechanical services in the church
He’s interested in total surrender
Which is manifested through prompt
Obedience to the express will of God
The main part of the demand of a Christian
Is see in Exodus 19:5 “Now therefore, if ye
Will obey my voice indeed, and keep my
Covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me
Above all people: for all the earth is mine
Your complete surrender to the Lord
Might put you at variance with people around you
You may be tagged weird you may stand alone
You may never be given spotlight that’s okay
Because this call to be peculiar is a call to show forth God’s glory
