TO BUILD A NATION: DECISION DAY 2023

We don’t want to build
A state where nothing works
We don’t want to build
A nation that cannot stand
Amongst other nation in the world
 
 
To build a nation
Where is not only for selected few
But we want to build such a nation
Strong and indivisible that nothing can break
To build a nation for all
 
Young and old
Rich and poor
Ruled and rule
Privilege and less privilege
That’s the kind of nation we want to be
 
A nation who has say
When nations gather
To redeem our name that we are called back
The giant of Africa not a grasshopper of Africa
To build a nation
 
That we are proud to call our own
Where our nation is our first priority
That no matter how far we travel
That our passport will accord so much respect
At the flash of it in any airport of the world
 
Where our leaders work tireless
Selflessly void of sentiment tribalism
In discharging their duties ever ready
To go the distance examplerifying patriotism in all ways
To build a nation
