From peanut fields to the White House gate

A President yes but so much more
A servant of peace on every shore
You built with hope, where walls were torn

A voice for justice steadfast and true
Championing rights for me and you
With Habitat’s hands you built anew
Homes of love for those who grew
Making every heart to be at home.
Through trials faced you stood so tall
A symbol of service to one and all
Your faith shone bright your spirit pure
A legacy of love that will endure
Forever in on the sands of time.
Now rest dear Jimmy your work is done
A life well-lived, a race well-run
