Days of Glory

So much we’ve laboured for years
The days when we stood out of the crowd
Respected by all and sundry
Our reputation was overwhelming
Always on top

The happening of the season
Both in printing and electronic medias
On every lips, heart and tongue
So was those days the days of glory
Where our self-esteems are high

After those years the days of glory
The booming economy good political system
An efficient well functioning government
Naira have is value not valueless
A nation we long and like

That always we can’t wait to be home
Our heart yarn for home our country
But how is it today?
Our nation her Days of Glory
Think on this…

Good government after independent
Good policy in place
Good and efficient means of power
Better hope for tomorrow
No one thought of running away
To another man’s land in a foreign land

These are our days of Glory
What have we done?
To those good old days of our beloved country
Looking back when it all began
How is it today…living in the past testimony?
Ex-glory
