There’s A Cry

How much life will still go down?
The passionate cry of a soul out there
The longing for liberation by the people
There’s a cry faraway in the distant land
Who will hear the cry?

There’s a cry
Echoing in the distant
Of ternary and oppression
A soul is suffering about to die
Looking out for sucide the situation is over killing

There’s a cry
Coming from a mother
Whose child has been murdered
In a cold blooded scene
Look at her as she clinched to her child in the pool of his own blood

There’s a cry
Coming from the street of Oshodi
Untold suffering as the people
Scream out there passionate plea
For a help somewhere but when will that help suffice

There’s a cry
From that boy that girl out there on the right
Of major cities in searching for a ends meat
After so much years of toiling in the higher school of learning
Graduating thinking the struggle is over
Little did they know that the struggle just commence

There’s a cry
From that child out there in the street
In the scorch of the sun, wild wind and rain
As they hawk their wears shouting out
For buyers to buy their wears

There’s a cry
Out there another is down
Send to the journey of no return
Oh alas every one as they bow their heads
A star has fallen...
