The only way to build commitment
Is through trust and trust is built 

With accountability therefore 

the BE-Attitude of the first CONNECT
Steps to be accountable we must keep
Our promises to ourselves and to others

We must be willing to be judged
Not by our concrete results
Commitment to win requires us 

To be accountable if we’re not accountable
Any commitment we make is nothing

But a promise written in water 

And any connection is lost 

Due to lack of trust but 

How many times have you been affected
By some one’s lack of accountability?
And when in your life 

Have you failed in keeping your word?

Every broken promise is another chip
In the foundation of our ability 

To commit to win every time we fail 

To be accountable we are shaking 

Our own certainty as well as the certainty 

Others have about our 

Trustworthiness and commitment

There are several reasons 

For a lack of accountability
Fear which often keeps us 

From taking responsibility
And doing what we need to do
Excuses for our failure we didn’t 

Have enough money to spend
Or enough training or we ran 

Out of time or blame 

It was someone else fault

Instead of being accountable 

Too many companies
Have become a haven for finger pointers
Funny thing about finger-pointing 

Though when one finger points out 

The other three are pointed back

To be truly accountable 

You must eliminate the blame
Excuses and fear that bind you 

And take ownership of your actions
