From the darkness of lawlessness
That parades our landscape
To the hates on the faces of her citizens
And the smiling and suffering faces
That floods our streets and bus terminal stations
From the darkness of corruption
That has eaten deep into the fibers
Of our political system infected
All other sectors of our state
As the homes, religious houses aren’t left out
From the darkness of poor road network
Whose contract has been awarded for years
Beyond the current administration
As many administration has not been able to deliver
Just a kilo meter road project for long
From the darkness of poor epilepsy power supply
Whose outrageous bills is meanted out
To the users and consumers of electricity
As they pay for service that wasn’t provided for
And yet a megawatt of electricity isn’t enough for just a street
From the darkness of fallen standard of education
Education believe as a light on which
Innovation and development of nation strive
That same education when is taken away
That same nation is heading to mass destruction
From the darkness of unemployment
As jobs are scarce for the one whose gone to school
As these days in our nation is no more what you know
That gets you the job but who you know in there
As the wrong one is put into several job position
All in the name of knowing someone
From the darkness of frustration leading to jungle justice
There is intense heats and hate paraded in our society
On can see it on so many faces
And the question where is the way out
Is putting in the right person in government
