THE STATE OF INSECURITY

Our state is in a state of insecurity
And the state is so alarming to come to terms with
As human intellect has failed us
And we now resolve to self-help
As the state of insecurity

Has made us lost fate in the government of the day
The government has lost it and at a crossroads
As each governor’s of each state
Are losing their constituents
To all manners of menace of insurgency

The state of insecurity
Let’s not fool ourselves
Our land is no longer at ease
As insecurity looms it ugly faces here and there
The whole issues is now looking tiring

As we engage in age-long war
Against this monster called insecurity
We have painted it sugar-coated with
With all kinds of names left to be unresolved
The state of insecurity

We must arise everyone
Irrespective of who you are
See this is not the time to call on the ones in government
As they all have lost it and don’t know what to do anymore
As nation building is a collective responsibility

Lest not resolve to taking laws into our own hands
As jungle justice isn’t among the ingredient to nations building
If we must move our nation from its present security challenges
We must come together and see security is everyone’s business
The state of insecurity is everyone and serious business
